15th Region Shelby Valley- strong run of talent for last 15 years and great facilities. Paintsville- Great history, great community and normally good players Pikeville- A lot of money and support goes through this independent system

:thumb: Justice is very solid at every aspect of the game. The running, lifting and shooting he did last summer was amazing. An assistant football coach at SV said you could set your watch by him showing up to work everyday.

I know some of you guys get to chase state championships all the time. We dont have that luxury very often. We are very proud of our team. They came out today and took it to EC all over the floor. This team has been quietly waiting on an opportunity to redeem that sweet sixteen loss a couple of years ago. I will give you guys some stats that maybe will let you know why we love this team so much. Shelby Valley had never won a game in a state tournament they always under performed. Right now the first team in Pike County History is playing for a state basketball title.

I cant wait to see Booher's approach to this game. SV normally wants to play up and down fast and create offense with defense. After the two games in this tourney I wonder if he will try to slow it down and let the size advantage work on EC. :popcorn:

Hatfield has played well in this tournament. Just a guess but I look for the same Justice to come out tommorrow that we saw completely dominate Henry Clay and Walton GA.(pre shoulder injury) SV has played two teams that wanted to play slow which I think has been a test for them that they passed.

SV plays an 8 to 9 man rotation with the minutes spread around fairly evenly except for Justice who will usually play 30 minutes. They won the region VERY easily and then took a week off. I think Booher was allowing them to shake off some rust last night. We are very proud of Justice and our team stuck back here in the mountains glad to hear you guys like them also. :thumb:

Final. Valley has a terrible night shooting the basketball but defense and turnovers lead to the victory.

He started subbing with about 5 minutes to go in the game. Everyone on SV's team played. Valleys shooting matched the weather outside....COLD.

24 - 3 at the half SV leads. First time for me and the radio guys. Henry County trys to slow the game down and at the half have ZERO field goals and I think 17 turnovers. Justice leads Valley with 8 points.

In my opinion Holmes is the best team and Scott the second best. Just looking for any help possible.

Mason, EC, Shelby Valley, GRC Could one of these teams be in a good spot if Holmes and Scott County play an epic battle Friday night?

I agree that EC could shoot just about anyone out of a zone. SV's zone is very aggressive. This is not a pack it in and dare somebody to shoot zone.

I have been saying for 3 years that EC will never live up to the expectations their fans set for them. I hope the Elliot/Valley game happens it should be very entertaining and a good test for both teams. In the past Valley have had good teams that have under performed on the big stage. I think this team has different mind set that starts with PG Justice.

Elijah Justice could play his way into the top 6 or 7 by next year. He is very talented and works extremely hard. Walton GA had a junior point gaurd that had committed to NC state...I think his name was Harrow....Justice out played him head to head on both ends of the floor.

I heard the 59th will be at the expo but not positive about that.

Shelby Valley is a Top 10 team IMO. They will have the chance to back me up at the All A next week in Richmond. I think you guys will enjoy the way they play. Fast tempo, good defense and very unselfish.
