  1. Good Luck to the Wolves! Breathitt may be considered number one--but they better watch out!!
  2. You must have a source from the future--definitely not the past.
  3. Don't be too sure--it is not final yet????:argue:
  4. Owsley County Basketball Fans should be extremely proud to have Doug Noble on the sidelines for the 2007-2008 season. He is a great individual and teacher--in the classroom and in the gymnasium. The kids absolutely love him. It is unbelievable to see the energy level and enthusiasm of the student athletes under his direction and in anticipation of what the future holds. Good Luck to Coach Noble and the Owls!:dancingpa
  5. They got their gift from KHSAA last year!!
  6. From what I hear--Both kids would be playing at Owsley --if it was up to them.
  7. Rumors have it that this kid would be happy :jump: to be back at his home school--Owsley--
  8. "Not sure he is coming"?? With the date of this posting--I believe school has been going on for nearly 3 weeks--as I understand --the student was there on DAY 1 of the new school year.
  9. Yes--that is right--wonder why he is not added to the conversation above???
  10. What has happened to academics? If they're loosing kids that fast ---what is going on with graduation rates and assessment results???
  11. I thought Wright was back on the bus at Lee! He just needed a fews days to recoup from the Owls showing up his coaching ability....or  maybe he decided that spending more time with the family was a bad idea--I doubt that though.
  12. Glad to hear that Coach Lively was the selection. Hope it is true. The arrogance displayed by some would make them be at the bottom of the list IMO. Coach Lively has the athletic skills, but more importantly he has the people skills to be successful in life and coaching.
  13. I guess last year's experience and growth did not help any this year. Last year was a rebuilding year for Breathitt. There is not any coach that can come in with nothing, as several people are indicating, and have a 24-5 or whatever winning season. The groundwork was laid long before Banks arrived on the scene. And, look at the schedule --no Powell County games--JBHS maybe once--and other teams that have been on the BHS schedule in previous years. If the competition is weak, a lot of folks could have a nice win-loss record. Just face the reality! Hopefully next year will be better--unless rumors are true!!
  14. What's new? How many times has the best team in the 14th not made it to Rupp? But this year--it look's to me like the Crusaders are the BEST!!
  15. They didn't have to help the Crusaders out tonight---they took it to the Bobcats from the get go--I just hope the Crusaders have some energy left for the Bulldogs---And, as for the referrees---what's new--it happens every year. At least it would be a small school getting the nod!!n If the Crusaders play like they did tonight--the referrees won't have to help them out.
  16. Congratulations to the Crusaders!!!:dancingpa What happen to the Bobcats? They obviously were not ready for the Region Semifinals. Lots of folks said they had played a very weak scheduled this year, thus the good record. Perhaps it came back to bite them.
  17. Who is the joke tonight? Looks like someone didn't have their team ready to play??? Or is it that their schedule was too soft during the year??
  18. Great Job--- Congrats to Elliott! Good to see a small, rural community do well!
  19. Sorry--those grapes have long since turned to nutritious raisins! It is just a fact of life in the 14th. The advantage varies from year to year--depending on the hard politics and soft friendships of the moment. With that said--I would give the edge to the Bobcats this year! Just wait and see! Sounds like they are already on their way with the win over Buckhorn. :sssh: :irked:
  20. Sorry that I referred to Coach Peggy Moore as 'Coach Gay" . I guess that tells how long I have been a fan of Coach Moore. Anyway-- Congratulations to a woman with lots of integrity!
  21. Congratulations to Coach Gay and the Lady Bobcats! So happy to see your 7th Grader doing so well! Is this the first Regional Championship for Coach Gay? Good Luck in Bowling Green!!!!
  22. Some things never change when it comes to officiating during the 14th Regional Tournament. It is common knowledge that whoever has the political connection and knows the right person will get the breaks and go to Rupp. This is too sad and unfortunate for the kids who work hard all year long. I wonder if all regions are like the 14th??? Do the adults in the black and white shirts determine the outcome of the games or do the kids?
