14th Region championship

Great game. 7th grader Kendall noble was MVP. Lutes, Shouse and Moore was all tourney team.

Congrats to the Bobcats!!! Coach Peggy Moore is a class act and has brought these girls a long way. She was a talented player and is a great coach, she deserves this for her years of dedicated service to the game. Good luck in Bowling Green!!!!!!!!!!

Breathitt Ladycats completely dominated the region. Winning by 40 some odd points in round 1, 30 points in round 2 and 20 points in the championship game. Breathitt has been playing with a purpose, and they wanted to finish what they started last year. Kendall Noble is the real deal, she made big shots all season long and plays excellent defense. The senior leadership of those 5 seniors has given the ladycats just what they needed. Lenae Shouse will be ranked in the top of the region next year if not #1. This team is playing great basketball, and i wouldn't be suprised if they won a few games in bowling green. Good Luck Lady Cats.......I will be there.

Sorry that I referred to Coach Peggy Moore as 'Coach Gay" . I guess that tells how long I have been a fan of Coach Moore. Anyway-- Congratulations to a woman with lots of integrity!

I used to watch her at EKU when she was still Peggy Gay. What a player! She could throw the ball the lenghth of the floor with either hand. Extremely talented. She was way ahead of her time in women's basketball.

 

And BTW, she was one heck of a baseball player too.....started for Buckhorn's team before the Title IX days when there wasn't a softball team. If I'm not mistaken, she was the Wildcat's short stop.

I saw her playing softball a couple years ago, and she was using a left handed glove, and later I saw her with a right handed glove, so I asked her about it. She said she threw right handed in the infield for quickness, but from the outfield she threw lefty for power!!!

 

Peggy deserves her recognition. She's a class act.

The Noble girl is a heck of a player herself. What amazes me besides her talent is her maturity. Plays like someone much older than a 7th grader!

If I recall correctly, she played 3rd base against us way back in the 20th century. Very quick and had a great glove over there!
