Hopefully this gets called on all levels because if not it will eventually lead to a very sreious injury. Something that may cost a kid a scholly. I started threads on this subject the last two years or so & sure hope it continues to be called. It would be great to see it become a "point of emphasis"

Outstanding! Congrats to two fine young men on two great individual honors. As those who know them can tell you they would gladly trade them in for a tourney win as that is just part of what makes them truly outstanding both on and off the court.

Really surprised by this score. This LC team is not the LC teams of recent years. Though I will say GRC probably is one year away from being Top 5 & possibly the team to beat.

They never give up & play so extremely hard ! Uh oh, so sorry this may have already been said in one of the other 300 threads.

Spindoc, all I am saying is if Elliott were to be fortunate enough to win the Sweet 16 State Championship "The Greatest Show on Earth" what will we ever become of our great tradition of the high school basketball state tournament? Especially since Elliott's Consolation win has forever tainted the Beach Ball Classic in the minds of Kentucky high school basketball fans.

Looks like the Beach Ball Classic no longer carries the prestige that it once did now that Elliott County finished 3-1 and won the Consolation Bracket. Head Coaches & AD's I suggest looking elsewhere for the future to take your teams. Sorry Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce I just cannot see how Ky teams can afford to play there in the future ! Sunny Florida here they come! hmm, wonder what would happen to the greatest show on earth.... never mind all of Ky knows it cannot happen if you play a weak schedule!

I seem to remember a few years back when Scott Co won the consolation bracket in this tournament and I do not recall the negativity, especially so early!

Great win & very impressive how hard they play.

Just imagine how much he would have improved if the coach would have let him play during some of last years blowouts, not to mention the fact that he did not dress for varisty! Or only if the coach would have let him practice with the varisty! Coach Mays wasted a year on this kids development.
