Won't all the officials be working varsity games?

I have heard that Beechwood Freshman play Lloyd, NCC, Newport, and Holy Cross each two times. Does anyone have any insight as to why Beechwood is not playing any class A schools on the Freshman level?

Anyone know why Wilfong didn't play in the 2nd half? Was he banged up?

Now I heard it was going to be moved to Saturday night. DANG!

I have heard that the game has been moved from 7:00 to 8:00. Does anyone know if this is a fact?

No worries, I have been reading your post for years. I understand and respect your opinions. I agree, it's like they say, opionions are like %$&*#$, everyone has one. Ya'll are putting to much pressure on these young kids to 'keep the streak alive'. I think they should be allowed to just play football and have some fun. Whatever happened to that?

Please remember too that some of the officials working these scrimmages are new guys and being that was the 1st scrimmage of the season, that scrimmage may have been their first game working as an official. Believe me, the view on the sidelines is much quicker and closer than when you are in the stands. With things being quicker, being out on the field the first time, trying to remember your keys...and then all of a sudden you see a clip (or any penality) one may think....'oh crap.....did i just see a clip?'. You are right, the officials use the scrimmages to knock off the rust and they haven't been on the field practicing for 2 week either (rules study only until last weekend).

I heard about 10 minutes ago that Coach Schlarman is leaving for Troy Ohio. How do they find a coach this late and where?

Is there a bracket online? IF so, can someone provide a link? More specifically, what did Beechwood do last night (monday)?

I think i read on here somewhere that Bellevue is getting a new grass. Shouldn't they be getting going on this before it gets to hot and dry? I would think they may want some of the roots to get established before football season or they are going to be in the same boat they are in now. Any insight from anyone?

I thought the KHSAA would have the problem before knothole would. I don't know why one would want them to play both, my boy isn't and it doesn't make sense to me either. I just think that many 12/13 year old boys are going to be overwhelmed with 15/16 year old pitching. It could hurt the boys confidence and future development. Plus, I think that many will ride the pine while missing out on knothole games where they could be getting at bats and playing in games. It just doesn't make sense to me....

With Freshman baseball becoming more and more popular and many 7th and 8th graders playing Freshman baseball, isn't there a KHSAA rule that prohibits a child from playing both Freshman and knothole at the same time? If so, what, if any, are the penalities....does anyone know?
