Does 2008 season become a rebuilding season. Lost alot of linemen and some great running backs. We know that where the battle is won or lost is at the line. Will Craft have any protection. Also we do have the coach oy the year! Any thoughts?

Did leach say GCHS would avg 102 points per game or whoever they're playing that night. GC Opp avg approx 109.67 per game Ouch! GCHS will improve they have too.

Decided not to play. Brown did not tryout. Not certain about Spence I think there was a family issue.

GCHS Freshmen team is missing a Brown kid. For some reason he chose not to play basketball this year. He around 6'2" 200 pounds. He has ability push around a few kids around the basket. Also there another kid last name of Spence that didn't play for some reason around 6'1" or so. I don't they would make up forty points though! LOL:creepy:

I am also assuming the Coach Sammons will be back. I know he had a losing record every year at GCHS but I think you have to give him another year for the playoff run. Any thoughts?

Also I have some thoughts IF a good number of boys just concentrate on basketball in the offseason it would help with Leach's system. I'm talking about playing traveling BB,camps and etc. Just like T Wolfenbarker elected to just go with basketball and it paid off for him.(Pikeville College) Maybe better if the events didn't take place at GCHS last year. Wolfenbaker in my mind would have been the GCHS QB if he wanted to his senior year. Not taking away from their QB from last year but Wolfie was very tough in football much like their current QB. Old saying practise makes perfect or atlease :pbetter.

First you have to have speed and ball handling. I've watch the feeder system for GCHS the last four or five years. We do not have speed and ball handling. If Leach can get the feeder system in on ball handling early it may take off.

I believe Coach Leach will have to modify his run and gun system to be successful at GCHS.IMO

Depends how you look at it. Greenup now has some interest from kids who didn't care before.

Ailster as Head football coach & AD. I don't see it happening. Maybe down the road bring Bruce Hunt or Brian "Frog" Meenach as head coach. :scared:

GCHS 34 Raceland 28 Final I wish I didn't have to work tonight, but I will catch a little bit of the "other" game. Six grade Mckell and Raceland play at 5:00 Saturday at McKell. Usually a pretty good game. My youngest son plays on McKell 6 grade team.

Hopefully the Ship is steering the right way. Good win for the boys.

I think GCHS staff and few other school coaches has been seen outside the fence taking mental notes.LOL
