Pendleton 7th Grade won the Tournament beating Campbell Co in the Finals by 9. Bracken has a fine team but caught Pendleton at the right time. It was Bracken's 15th game and Pendleton's 1st. PC boys did not get home till around midnight also as they were in attendence at the UC/Belmont Game. PC put it together on Sunday. Pendleton and Harrison are playing in the Williamstown tournament this weekend.

I heard they checked some KY birth certificates in Memphis TN this past summer. And that is "The Truth".

Scott County Middle schools do not have any 6th grade teams either. They do keep some 6th graders on the 7th grade team also.

Here is something to think about concerning transfers. Recent Region Champions 2005 - Pendleton - Elliott 2006 - Mason - Scott 2007 - Clark - Rogers 2008 - ????

There were several thunder kids that played as 6th graders last year at SCM,GMS & RSM. Only a few will be at SCM this year.

7th grade will be Scott Co Middle. They only have 7th & 8th Grade teams. There were several 6th graders on the seventh grade teams last year.

Watch for Scott County Middle 7th grade to make some noise in February state tournament.

Yes I would agree with you there tex Jon Elrod's outside shooting ability was some of the best to come through pendleton County and don't forget the buzzer beater at rupp to send the game into overtime but PC came up just short in the end

If i am not mistaken wasn't Ethan King from Bracken County? Scott County doesn't have to recruit. It is kind of like Mason, Ballard and Warren Central in Basketball and in Football like HIghlands, Cov Cath, and Boyle County kids just want to play for these successful programs.

What College Scouts will be at the Sweet 16? I have heard James Madison will be there watching Matt Walls.

Bennett a junior, and Stenzel, a 8th grader is usually first ones to come off the bench. Both played key roles in GRC making the trip to rupp. Both are very good at the free throw line. Free throw shooting is the biggest improvement I can see in GRC from last year. GS shouldn't Stenzel be a Soph? Wasn't he held back for 2 years?:confused:

Like Tate Cox better. I wasn't impressed by Step when I saw him at the 5/3rd.
