  1. Could not agree more w/that statement. Coach Kelsch has always been nothing but gracious, nice, and a class act when dealing w/me!
  2. Pendleton County will be playing in the Ashland Team camp, Transy's team camp, the AAU state tourney, and they are hosting one in July!
  3. Bracken could easily be in the finals and that would be a sweet proposition to be in if you are Coach Kelsch and playing on your home court for the Class A title!
  4. Has Henry County named a coach? Henry County is a tough spot to be in, a small Class AA school and to big to make the Class A.
  5. Would definitely have to disagree with you on this point. It is very easy to say it is all about the players, but we are not dealing w/world class athletes here, these are HS students. When Coach Cal says it is all about the players, he is right at that level, he chooses who he wants to play on his team, from 100's across the country. Now a HS coach still chooses his team, however, from a much smaller sample and sometimes you have to keep players for need. Those are the times when the coaching and the facilities come in to play even more to help make the team better, to make the individual player better, to overall improve. They need to be pushed and motivated and coached, so w/that I agree w/you some, it is about coaching! The nicer facilities and the access to them and the coach USING them can make a HUGE difference and can play a HUGE factor in a team's ability to perform. It is just that simple, honestly!
  6. Wish they would announce who it is if a hire has been made!
  7. Anyone who thinks nice facilities do not help a program is crazy, they most certainly do. A very nice weight room compared to a few free weights over in a corner, that would seem to me a huge difference and advantage!
  8. Rumors are he found a job at Augusta schools, not for sure how accurate that is!
  9. WOW, is all I can say! Nice move from Henry to Oldham!
  10. The problem w/some of those teams and w/this economy you are not gonna travel all the way to Frankfort, or shouldn't, to play basketball. How about Paris, Bourbon County--I know they played, but they could do a home and away--Heritage Academy, Cooper High, Boone County, Bellevue, Dayton, Ludlow, Villa Madonna and some of the other schools in the 9th region that are within 45-60 minutes of Brooksville! Where this double scheduling comes from are the Christmas tourneys and the Class "A" where these teams meet up extra times. Perhaps Bracken should invite different teams to their Holiday classic. Yet, again that is probably tied to economics and travel as well! Bracken County played Deming, Augusta, and St. Patrick 10 times combined, that certainly is absurd--however they were only 2-8 in those games.
  11. I hear an announcement is coming soon!
  12. Very impressive list! Could be some changes, but you can argue for those included to stay on the list!
  13. Can either play in the Big-10?
  14. The Panthers will be very young the next couple of seasons, however they will play hard and they will show up EVERY single night. That is a testament to Coach Kelsch, Robin does a tremendous job with very limited resources, financially and players wise. I would be surprised if Brent Bach ends up wearing anything other then Panther orange and black!
  15. One thing I know 1000% for certain is that Bracken County Superintendent Tony Johnson is not retiring! There are a lot of rumors swirling regarding this position and how Bracken might go about filling it! I think it is going to be very interesting. I agree with an earlier post, this needs to be resolved. Make the good hire, do your homework and background checks, find a passionate person willing to head up the entire program and one who will be a leader for the community and school!

  17. Yes Mason Monroe from Pendleton County Is playing up this year!!!!
  18. This will really test the young CATS this year!!!!!!!!!!! Especially the first 6 games, maybe except Augusta. The other 5 will be a challenge for them.
  19. Has Anyone Heard About The NKMSBL East tourney?
  20. You Assume Right McCendon Was Not In Uniform.
  21. Sharp (PC) won this morning at Holmes 36-37. The game was a good one as both teams started out strong, playing very hard. Towards the end of the third it was all tied up as Mason Monroe came out sick with some issues with his stomach. He wasn't able to get back into the game until about 4 minutes left in the fourth in a very tight match-up and the Wildcats struggled a bit without Monroe in the game. PC was down 2 with about 11 seconds left in the game and Garrett Appleman drained a deep three from the corner off a nice look from Monroe to give the Wildcats a one point lead. Holmes then tried to get a quick shot off, but Appleman got the steal to secure another win for Sharp Middle School. Sharp MS improves to 23-6 on the season with only one loss in their conference. The re-match is Monday night at Pendleton!
  22. Any thoughts? The Game is Jan 15, '08 8:00 at Memorial Coliseum. Mason lost to them last time in the 5/3 Classic 69-79.
  23. St. Pat. No one will be able to guard C.Owen for PC
