  1. Pendleton County will be attending this camp.
  2. But if Kobe plays like this every game and the Magic can't knock down shots. Woah!!!! It could be a long series for D-Howard and the Magic.
  3. Very well said TubbyCAT!!! Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu are big and long, and both can knock down the 3-Ball. Dwight Howard will easily manhandle Bynum, and Gasol maybe able to slow him down, but the key phrase there is "slow down" there is no stopping Superman!!! And with Jameer Nelson playing this improves their chances tremendously!!!!!
  4. What does PC need to do to improve in 2009/2010? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
  5. Oh, he has internet, but Mrs. TubbyCAT has banned the usage I am thinking, haha!
  6. Again, the point is COMPLETELY missed. So at this point I am going to drop it!
  7. TubbyCAT is on vacation in a remote location according to my sources. I am sure he will have quite a bit to say about this topic and others upon his return. Seems like Coach Kelsch is planning for the future, as AD and Head Coach. I know his son Tanner is going to be a freshman at AHS this up coming year. Maybe he stays at the helm til his son graduates and then hands the reigns over to Coach Hinson.
  8. Well we can agree to disagree, but I really think the point was lost. So in the end it really does not matter. Every coach wants and needs athletes to compete (Shelby Valley, Mason County, Augusta, Clay County etc.), there is no denying that. However, not every coach has that luxury, that is want I am saying here. Most coaches take the hands they are dealt and move forward and try to improve while in the weight room, w/game film, on the court or field, individual and team instruction. That is where those nice facilities come in, to help motivate some of these kids, much easier to do w/the nicer stuff as opposed to hand me down stuff and run-of-the-mill stuff!
  9. Larger schools do not get in if a smaller school chooses to opt out, that is absurd. I knew Henry County was not competing in the Class "A" this upcoming season due to their enrollment! The All A is the smallest 125 schools no matter what the enrollment is? How exactly would that work, it really makes no sense at all! Classes are based completely on enrollment. By this logic, any school could play in the Class "A, which in turn would not make it Class "A"! Actually my post does not say Henry cannot compete as a large 2A school. Here is my post: "Henry County is a tough spot to be in, a small Class AA school and to big to make the Class A." My post does not say anything about them being a large 2A school. It is quite difficult to be a large 2A school one year after competing in the Class "A" state tourney. That would be one heckuva an enrollment gain for Henry County.
  10. I realize that Coach Holland was just named coach at Oldham Friday. I was just curious if the assistant at HC would be named coach and maybe the school had announced that.
  11. Stewart can play at NKU, that is for certain! His girlfriend does go to school @ NKU, so that would seem very plausible. Coach Cal has said he will do all he can to help these young men w/their transfers. Many believed AJ would be gone even if ole BCG had been retained. I think we all knew Donald Williams would not be back!
  12. Could not agree more w/that statement. Coach Kelsch has always been nothing but gracious, nice, and a class act when dealing w/me!
  13. Pendleton County will be playing in the Ashland Team camp, Transy's team camp, the AAU state tourney, and they are hosting one in July!
  14. Bracken could easily be in the finals and that would be a sweet proposition to be in if you are Coach Kelsch and playing on your home court for the Class A title!
  15. Has Henry County named a coach? Henry County is a tough spot to be in, a small Class AA school and to big to make the Class A.
  16. Would definitely have to disagree with you on this point. It is very easy to say it is all about the players, but we are not dealing w/world class athletes here, these are HS students. When Coach Cal says it is all about the players, he is right at that level, he chooses who he wants to play on his team, from 100's across the country. Now a HS coach still chooses his team, however, from a much smaller sample and sometimes you have to keep players for need. Those are the times when the coaching and the facilities come in to play even more to help make the team better, to make the individual player better, to overall improve. They need to be pushed and motivated and coached, so w/that I agree w/you some, it is about coaching! The nicer facilities and the access to them and the coach USING them can make a HUGE difference and can play a HUGE factor in a team's ability to perform. It is just that simple, honestly!
  17. Wish they would announce who it is if a hire has been made!
  18. If Meeks comes back the CATS would still need to make available another scholly!
  19. Anyone who thinks nice facilities do not help a program is crazy, they most certainly do. A very nice weight room compared to a few free weights over in a corner, that would seem to me a huge difference and advantage!
  20. Rumors are he found a job at Augusta schools, not for sure how accurate that is!
  21. Is this even a topic, really? Most certainly, YES!
  22. The problem w/some of those teams and w/this economy you are not gonna travel all the way to Frankfort, or shouldn't, to play basketball. How about Paris, Bourbon County--I know they played, but they could do a home and away--Heritage Academy, Cooper High, Boone County, Bellevue, Dayton, Ludlow, Villa Madonna and some of the other schools in the 9th region that are within 45-60 minutes of Brooksville! Where this double scheduling comes from are the Christmas tourneys and the Class "A" where these teams meet up extra times. Perhaps Bracken should invite different teams to their Holiday classic. Yet, again that is probably tied to economics and travel as well! Bracken County played Deming, Augusta, and St. Patrick 10 times combined, that certainly is absurd--however they were only 2-8 in those games.
