Williamstown held Dixon to 4, but WV hit 6 or 7 threes in the game. WV outscored the Lady Demons 18-4 in the 4th to pull away. Congratulations to WV.

It was Senior Night at Williamstown. Team is struggling right now. Stith and Wilhoit both foul out which hurt Williamstown's chances to pull out the win. Pendleton played well and hit some shots when they needed to.

Nice atmosphere plus for a really goodcause. I thought Coach Mefford and Coach Wilhoit really wore their pink shirts well! Too many missed opportunities (missed lay-ups and FT's) for Williamstown late in the game. Stith has not played well since she has come back from an ankle injury. For Williamstown to have any success in the postseason, Stith has to get her game together or someone else will need to step up for the Lady Demons. I thought Susan Northcutt played well tonight. She gives the team some needed size in the post. Congratulations to the Lady Panthers.

Very well said madman. Unsure what the Lady Demons issue was last night. They have 2 weeks to get it fixed though beforethe re-match that has a whole lot more at stake than the gamelast night.

I think it wasn't really something GC did differently, it was Williamstown's inability to put the ball in the basket and their inability to keep GC off of the offensive glass. You score 2 points in a quarter and you will get outscored 99.9% of the time. GC did hit some shots in the 2nd, especially 2 circus shots by Workman.

That was the most spirited I have seen a game at GC. The atmosphere was entertaining, especially Coach Kinmon from the boys team leading the cheers with the "spirit fingers"!!!!

Final. Very physical game with quite a few players fouling out from both sides. Workman and Plunkett led GC in scoring with 15 and 14 respectfully. Wilhoit led Williamstown with 23 pts. and pulled down 17 rebounds.

Heard Callis did not play. Is this correct?

Dixon should be included in the mix also. She works really hard at her game.

Good point. We the fans sometimes get caught up in the offense portion of the game.

Forgot about Wainscott at SK. She is solid. The main thing is that the players need to keep working hard and continue getting better.

According to stats on the KHSAA, Hill from Gallatin Co. and Wilhoit from Williamstown are both averaging a double-double. Devine is the leading scorer and rebounder for Carroll. Gayheart leads Owen in scoring. Unsure about stats for WV players.

Both schools are both rated highly academically. They difference is that WV can offer more than W'town can. My thinking is this is due to WV being almost double the size of W'town. When you have approx. 200 students in grades 9-12, some classes cannot be offered every year. Also, WV places a lot more emphasis on their athletic programs by their adminsitration and parents. At W'town, that emphasis is placed on other programs or activities. Back to the thread, WV is improving, but guard play will be their achilles heel. Ginn is not comfortable at the point and the 2 middle schools girls still play timid. Only time will tell how well they improve in the next couple of seasons.

The only thingf or sure on this game is that Henry County's coach will not be sitting down or will be very quite!!!!! I'll go with Carroll in this one.

This is according to the Enquirer. "Tori Wilhoit also contributed to the win with a double-double. The sophomore scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds". Grant played pretty well. Lockard beat Williamstown down the floor and Gorby would find her to get some good looks at the basket.
