How many kids will be hurt during that time it takes for things to work things out. In every school system and not just GC the kids should be the number one focus of the parents, school administration, and all that surround the school. That seems to have been lost in Greenup (if it ever was there to start with). What a shame!!!!

Why should Trimble be offered the job first?? He has done a great job with the girls program but Floyd has been a vital part to Racelands success in the past 5 or 6 seasons. If the job goes to anyone but Floyd Raceland should be ashamed. This is a no brainer that even I can figure out.

They have it right. Scott Hundley is very interested in the GC job.

I myself dont think that this is such a big deal. However the KHSAA does set the rules and everyone is supposed to play by them. IF the schools envoleved make a big deal about this then there will be a investigation and I can see them taking the championship away.

Who are the referees??

Ive heard that Coach Hicks has applied for both the coaching job and the AD position. Does anyone know a time table for the jobs. Ive heard Randy Ward is wanting his old job back.

If this time around is anything like the last two times there will be very little interest in the GC job. I predict 5 apps or less. Very few coaches want to start a new job with the coach that was just fired sitting in the gym watching every move you make.

Just think how good the Royals could be if Fraley spent as much time coaching the other players as much as he does Euton and Jackson. Maybe next year he will even let the others practice with the dynamic duo and if they are lucky he will let them shoot in the games.

Augusta at Rose Hill is cancelled

kingofthejungle, Why do you think the officials called so poorly?? Other than a couple of times I dont think either coach complained about the way the game was being called. If the coaches are happy and the players are happy the ref's couldnt have been that bad.

This was a very good called ballgame. In fact I will go as far as saying it was one of the very best called games that I have saw this year. Kudos to the striped shirts in this one.

I dont think that Rick being held up in Richmond will hurt much. It looks like his assistant is doing all of the coaching during the time outs. I would think the assistant is doing all of the game prep as well.

I think everyone must know exactly how much Rose Hill hates the people over at Blazer. During a certain horrible event in a persons life the awfull kids and staff at Rose Hill took up a rather large love offering and sent it to that person to use as he saw fit. Of course during a similar event at Rose Hill the very generous people over at Blazer sent a wonderfull sympathy card. Must have set them back about a $1.00(thats counting the stamp). Anyone want to keep on bashing.

If the Ashland staff would put as much energy into preparing to stop JC as they used to bash the Rose Hill kids they might have been playing for a state championship. Please let them know I have very good insight on how to stop the half back pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ps I hope he didnt use that love offering from Rose Hill down at the Elks happy hour. Tell them to work on there comedy routine for the next game. This fight has just began.

After reading the paper and watching the game here is my final post. Ashland won the game and was well prepared. They played hard and phyisical and had different players step up and make plays. The Royals shouldnt worry to much about this loss though. It took 4 phantom fouls on the younger Jackson and were outshot on the free throw line 25-4. Malloy, Bush, and Arthur looked very comfortable out on the floor tonight which is a great sign that the team is maturing and will be much better come March. Man what tournament the 64th will be. It could be better than the regional tourament. Which ever 2 teams come out ot the 64th (and it could be any of the four) will have a shot at a rematch in the finals. Its still a long time till March. No need for any team to throw in the towel.

Guess Coach Johnson forgot to tell his players to foul everytime Metz and Clemmons tried to shoot a shot in the paint. Class act all the way

And besides its not like the good people of Ashland dont cry when they get beat. We just need to tune in the radio to liston to Dirk and Dickie blast away at the refs to find an excuse. If I were an official I wouldnt put up with that crap. Of course Dickie sure was loving on Coldiron before the game. Must have worked.

Ashland did earn the win my dear Francis. They were well coached and the players played hard. It is however very obvious when an official is looking for a certain player such as Coldiron was looking for the younger Jackson tonight. He sure enough found him but I bet he doesnt get the chance to do it again.

Here is one post that I know will cause me a lot of grief but here it goes anyway. Free Throws 25 for Ashland 4 for Rose Hill. Ball game. Both teams played man. One team gets to shoot free throws one team doesnt. Chad Jackson fouls out. Coldiron call four of the five and at least 3 were questionable. Matt Thomas fouls the first two plays of the game. Coldiron stops play after two possesions and changes one foul to Bonner #33. Coldiron swallows his whistle on the baseline on the second when Matt clearly fouls Chad Jackson. I thought the Ashland and Rose Hill players both conducted themselves with class.

The games outcome will depend on how physical the refs let the game get. The more physical the game the more advantage to the Tomcats. Whats with the ref's one game you cant touch anyone and the next you can mame and maul??? No consistency.

Well that should come as no suprise since the cubster runs around with one of the GC coaches. However both Assistants are doing a good job.
