  1. I do agree that they need to be competitive. Plus let me clarify I like ready the rankings on BGP.
  2. I'm not sure that this game (win or loose) with Simon means a whole lot right now. I think it will give each team an idea of what they need to work on. It might be hugh for the rankings on BGP. I doubt that either team will look like the same team when they play the 2nd and maybe even a 3rd time later in the season.
  3. Walton is fighting the injury bug right now. Clinkenbeard did not play (back) and Judy played very little and is having surgery on Friday (knee) and will be out for 4-6 weeks. It really shortened their rotations tonight. Plus they looked a little leg weary at times (5 games in 7 days). Walton was a head by 7 with 2 minutes to go with the ball and got a little impatient. Divine hits some really pressure shots (she had 30 I believe). Carroll County is well coached and the 2 3 zone they played really slowed the tempo down to their liking. Speaking of coach Mefford, not only is he an excellent coach, he is a class act. Walton played Carroll on Carroll's senior night last year and not only did he honor his own seniors but he recognized Walton's two seniors during the pre game ceremonies. (I thought that was very classy) This was a game Walton needed to play this early in the year. It exposed some weaknesses that they will need to address. It will very interesting when these two play in the All A.
  4. Yes they did and yes it was long overdue. Kinda bright in there now.
  5. Walton will play a lot of players also. I doubt if fatigue is and issue for either team.
  6. I do agree Anderson will be very good. And, having a lot of young talent in the 8th is going to make for some great basketball in the years to come.
  7. The big question is - will there be more fouls than points in this one? If this is a typical Walton-Gallatin game it could take a while to play. I'll take whoever wins the free throw battle. It should be entertaining.
  8. Walton has a very solid Freshman class. I've seen Anderson 8th grade class and it is talented, but I don't think Anderson 8th has the weapons Walton's Freshman class has. So I don't think Anderson is in any way a clear cut favorite for the next 4 years.
  9. Great update. I think the 8th is going to be fun to watch.
  10. We should know a lot more about Walton this time next week. With games against Carroll, Grant and Simon this week.
  11. Gallatin is still playing without Emily Jones. I heard she should be back in a couple of weeks.
  12. They are very long on the inside and very deep. They still have a long way to go to become a very good team. But, they seem to be heading in the right direction.
  13. The Coaches Trame get 1st win in Bearcat Blue. Congrats.
  14. They have some players who play on high school teams. And, there is no way a high school coach is going to let his players play in a AAU league during the season.
  15. Great way to start the season for the Bearcats. Good job to the Coach Miller and his staff.
  16. Walton and Conner both open the season tonight at Dixie. I 'm not sure about this one. Walton will have to contain Conner's three point shooters, especially Taulbee, and control the backboards. Good luck to both teams.
  17. Very, very nicely done. I enjoyed reading it. http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?t=194828

  19. Didn't see the game, but Franklin County has a solid team.
  20. Abby Jump can flat shoot the ball. A team always needs players who can stretch the defense. Morehead is a good school, close to home and I hope she has a great career there - congrats.
  21. Will they be better than Boone this year?
  22. Is coach Robinson still the 8th grade coach? I know Walton plays Conner on Saturday at Walton - sould be a good game.
  23. Shouldn't be any anybody complaining about playing time!!!
