  1. Beautiful gym, ugly game. Probably the poorest performance I've seen this year from the Bearcats. I'm sure North had something to do with that. Sandlin played a lot fewer minutes than normal because of foul trouble. But, even if the ball is not going in Walton continues to play good defense. Kelli Dixon was a beast on the interior, North had no answer for her. I thought North played hard and looked a lot hungrier than Walton did tonight. Both teams must eliminate some of the unforced turnovers. Good luck to the Lady Mustangs the rest of the season.

  3. Katie Allen does a lot of things on the basketball floor very well.
  4. Nice win for Simon. The KHSAA website has Conner winning. Thanks ebrown for the update.
  5. Katie Slavey (girl who fell) is doing fine and should be ready to go in the North Oldham game.
  6. I read it, and it brought back same painful memories of the Walton game.
  7. This could be a very entertaining game to watch. Ryle is very talented and Conner is improving. Some great perimeter match ups in this one. Good luck to both teams.
  8. Dixon and Sandlin are really playing well together. I think those two will give North problems on the interior so I'll take the Bearcats in this one.

  10. My bad - thought you were referring to an illegal screen.
  11. The way I understand the rule is - Possession does not occur until the ball is inbounds. If the ball is still being taken out of bounds and a foul is called against the team inbounding then free throws are awarded if the team is in the penalty. If a foul is called on the offensive team while in possession of the ball then no free throws are awarded. You made the commit that he should of been counting 5 so I assumed the foul was committed before the ball was inbounded. Maybe I assumed wrong.
  12. If the ball is still out of bounds. Then there should be free throws.
  13. There is no 3 seconds on an inbound play. The count doesn't start until the ball is inbounded.

  15. Not a bad idea, like off setting penalties in football. Give the ball back to the offense and play on.

  17. On the block charge - the ref under the basket made the block signal (hands on the hips) and then changed it to charge. (Not sure if he got his signals mixed up). The outside official came in and called it a block. Ended up a double foul - very strange call. I have seen better officiated games, but having said that Highlands made more plays and deserved to win.
  18. A very interesting game to watch. Highlands led by double digits and Walton cut the lead to 4 with the ball late in the 4th quarter. Katie Allen made a couple of great defensive plays. Highlands has a very nice team and I was impressed by their 2 Freshman, plus the poise of Allie Conner. Walton battled the whole game, but fell a little short. Hopefully they can get Ginn healthy and be ready to take on North Oldham next week.
  19. It appears that Taylor Stinson is putting together a solid season for Scott.
  20. Great job!! Not a bad days work 16 boards plus getting your 1000th.
  21. Game at Walton. Any thoughts?
  22. I'm going to guess you play it the same way you would an air ball. But, I personally think you did the right thing by letting the player shoot, especially in the 6th grade.
  23. I heard the same thing. If it is true I wish Coach Kinmon well in his new position.
