  1. Trimble does a very nice job with their website.
  2. I'm not real familiar with Newport Central Catholic, but it looks like they are having a really solid season. Great job down in Lexington.
  3. Congrats to the Lady Wildcats. When a team believes and buys into what the coach is teaching - amazing things can happen. Great job coach Roberts.
  4. Great job - very impressive shooting the ball. I know Beasley got hurt down in Lexington, does anyone have an update on her condition?
  5. I wasn't at the game, but I'm curious. Please explain how it was deceptive.
  6. Simon is not very deep. Playing back to back, as hard as they play, is probably hard on them. Fatigue can change a game in a hurry. I wasn't there, so I'm not saying that is what happened, but I can see it happening to Simon.
  7. Those are teams that are fun to watch.
  8. Congrats to Coach Roberts on another good win. The season is still quite young, but i think she has done tremendous job with her young team thus far. Totally agree.
  9. The total number of schools listed is 125 (if my math is correct). So by Cornerstone joining I would assume they knock somebody out. Will they add someone to take their place if they are not playing?
  10. Good game for the Bearcats. A lot of players contributed. Freshman Elizabeth McAdams scored her 1st Varsity points. Good Job Liz.
  11. I'm pretty sure you are correct. But, I noticed in the participating schools that Cornerstone Christian is listed for the 8th. Are they playing in the tournament? I don't remember seeing them in the brackets. Here is the link. http://www.allaclassic.org/General%20Information/Participating%20Schools.pdf
  12. I like Gallatin in this one, by single digits. Always interesting when these two get together.
  13. The crowd would even be bigger if Walton's girls didn't have a game tonight. I look for a close game. I think both teams have been a little inconsistent. Walton will be without 8th grader Zach McNeil, he broke his foot in the Lloyd game. Good luck to both teams.
  14. Good win for the Lady Bearcats. This was not the prettiest of games to watch. Walton is now 7-1 with games at Dayton on Friday and Trimble on Saturday. Hopefully they will take care of business and go into Christmas 9-1.
  15. That is what makes basketball such a great game.
  16. Congrats to coach Roberts and her Lady Wildcats.
  17. You must of been at a different game. If every hand check would of been called Simon would of run out of guards in the 1st half.
  18. Walton led most of the game. During a stretch in the 4th quarter they had 6 straight trips down the floor with turnovers. Walton missed 3 out of 4 free throws late which didn't help. Walton did not get the ball inside enough, you can credit Simon's ball pressure on the guards. The game was very intense and I don't believe either coach went into his bag of tricks tonight. Both teams played straight up man to man the whole game, whether it was full court or half court. Wainscott was key down the stretch for Simon she handles the pressure so well. Should be another great game when they get together in Independence later in the year.
  19. If freely means out of control or not within the team concept - not going to happen. If freely means making good decisions and making smart basketball plays - then he will let them play freely.
  20. I don't know any scoring stats. But, it was a 10-12 point game at Half time. Walton came out in the 3rd quarter and increased the lead to 25 points or so. Not much of interest after that. I thought Grant County hurt themselves on more than a few occasions. They would run a good set on offense and then miss a shot they probably should of made. Congrats to Walton on getting that 1st district win of the season.
  21. I have to agree with LT Dan. I just hope Walton is not looking past Grant County tonight. This is a big game for district seedings.
  22. Gallatin was able to get wherever they wanted with the dribble. I'm not sure how many assist Zach Jones had tonight, but it seemed like he was hitting someone with a great pass every time Gallatin had the ball in the 1st half. Every time Walton made a run Gallatin answered it with a bigger run. There was a great crowd for the game tonight, especially being a rainy Tuesday night.
