I believe Ashley is very happy at Ryle, and I doubt that she would ever return to Walton. Walton has not been able to fill the void she left at the point to this point. Hopefully an answer will develop before next December.

Shelby Mullikin is a Freshman and should see some minutes this year. Point Guard is a major concern.

Walton should be very competitive in 2011. From what I saw last year their two biggest weaknesses were turnovers and the ability to pass the ball. They should be deeper this year if everybody is healthy. It looks like the schedule will be stronger - I believe they open the season with Boone. They should be the favorite to win the 8th region all "A" as well as compete for the District and Regional titles. Like all teams they will need to stay healthy.

I have the same question. I doubt if any coach in the region is glad Henley took the North job. He will do a good job there.

I was there, and I'm not from Gallatin or South Oldham. It was a terrible call. The game was a great game to watch. Both teams making runs. Gallatin's early and then South making a run before the half. South comes out after half and takes the lead and I thought the game was over, but then Gallatin comes back and retakes the lead. Gallatin did make a costly turnover late I agree, but so did South. So you can say if both teams would of taken care of business then the play at the end would not of mattered. But, neither team made all the plays and the play at the end did matter. Terrible call, let the kids decide it. To good of game to let end that way. Good luck to South - I think they have a great chance tomorrow against Shelby. Congrats to the Gallatin's Seniors, not only a great year, but great careers. Just my opinion.

Anderson lead by 10 at half. Walton goes on a 20-5 run to take a five point lead. But, turnovers and missed layups were their undoing. Congrats to Anderson they hung tough. Congrats to Walton 25-5 is not bad.

Grant County could be a good job. But, it is going to take a little time. I do agree they should have multiple teams in middle school. It would improve numbers and build a better foundation.

Simon at home. Might be close for a while, but Simon will pull away. I do like the Freshman for Shelby - she is going to be something special. But, to much Wainscott in this one.

I like Walton chances in this one. Both teams seem to have weaknesses that the other team can exploit. It will depend on who does it best for one game.

Congrats to Gallatin on a Regional win. I also would like to congratulate Walton's 5 seniors for a very fine career - Jordon Ponzer, Brandon Bowlin, Cameron Burns and Cameron Reynolds. I would like to recognize Zach Poore. Zach was a Senior on the basketball team this year but was injured during the preseason. I know it was hard on him to miss his whole senior season.

Walton started strong (11-0 I think), and never really let Carroll back in the game. Congrats to Carroll on a fine season. Carroll County presented Hannah Divine a ball before the game for her 1000th point. Congrats to her.

Congrats to the Ryle Lady Raiders. Very nice win.

This should be a very good basketball game. Gallatin knocked Walton out early in the 1st game and then Walton staged a late round comeback to knock out Gallatin in game two. This game should give the fans on both sides a lot to cheer and jeer about. A lot of emotions in this one - It is going to be the last game for a very solid group of seniors whether it is Walton or Gallatin. Good luck to both teams.

Owen County will be bigger. But, Simon will have an advantage out front. This should be an interesting game.

It was a very entertaining game to watch. I heard a couple folks say she walked, but I wasn't watching the ball right then, so I didn't see it. What about a Freshman stepping up with 1 second left and hitting two free throws!! Congrats to Shelby.
