Per KHSAA.org. Owen had 9 losses prior to tonight's game average losing margin was 3.8 points. This sets up SK vs Shelby County, 6pm on Friday night.

Congrats to Simon Kenton! Second quarter big for the Lady Pioneers. Able to take their first quarter lead and build on it. Had around 20 pt. lead at the half. Gayheart picking up her 3rd in the first half also was big for Owen.

I will give credit to Owen though, as it looked like they had a good game plan, and found the open shooters. I'm just guessing, but figure they had probably 6-8 open, some nearly point blank, shots that went in and out. Add those 12-14 points, and....

Based upon the way the first night went, I'd say the Lady Pioneers would be the favorite on Friday night. Shelby just didn't seem to be on the same page, and IMO were lucky to walk away with the win in their game.

Congrats to Simon. I thought Stephenson was big tonight. Good luck against Shelby.

Also, congrats to Owen County they had a very good season. They have some very good younger players so the future looks bright.

SK 17 13 13 17 - 60

OC 7 4 16 15 - 42

Good game for SK. Stowers pulled back the reins a bit around end of 3rd when SK went up by 25. I cannot make any real observations about this game after mid-third quarter. BROWN (SK)fouled out in 4th on horrible call but that is why she needs to be a touch smarter early on. Did not hurt tonight but can't beat the others with her on the bench. Lots of fouls called in this game. MORRISON (SK) came in to play some post. BLEVINS played well.

STEPHENSON (SK) played real well tonight. PONZER / BROWN great "D". WAINSCOTT (SK) had 18 tonight GAYHART (OC) made it a bit rough for her.

Friday night 6:00 @ SK (SHELBY - LADY PIONEERS)!

IMO, I have never seen so many missed FT's by 3 teams tonight as SO / SC / OC. I bet there were 8 missed FT's in the 4th of So. Oldham and Shelby that sent it into OT.

Congrats to Owen on a very good season.

Yes- a greeat year for them- they have really improved!
