I am talking about the player Hicks that played for Shelby Co. Heard he lives in the Martha Lane district now.

What about Hicks not attending either Shelby school? 8th region as a whole should be wide open next season.

There are many rumors regarding where Mr. Hicks may enroll in school for 2010-11.

SK should once again be able to secure a regional birth. They return Cody Chambers and Nick Grey, and have a bevy of quality G's and F's from the JV level. The key will be post presence, they should have some size with Jr Doss and DJ Rabe but both will need to improve offensively over the Summer.

Simon Kenton, Oldham, North Oldham, and Gallatin return alot. Oldham returns everyone, Simon lost Sorrell, North lost Foley, Gallatin lost Jones but has several good young players. Also Owen returns some good players, along with Walton Verona. Wide open region next year.

Spencer County is my surprise pick - they have everyone back from a good team last year, if they win the 29th district they could win the region. Simon will be good. The toughest district appears to be the Oldhams. North and Oldham should be good and Trimble and South will be solid as well. Gallatin and Owen should be the class of the 31st.

You are right on with Spencer, they return evryone, if they are wanting to get better they have to make their schedule a little tougher and play in some competitive Christmas Tourneys. Making it to the region is a definite possibility but they have not been there in a long time, handling that makes it a tough task. One of the reasons I thought that Shelby won the 8th this year. They were more experienced in the final than South. When the 4th quarter rolled around Shelby was calm, and South paniced.

The obvious big question with North is how quickly Coach Henley will get the guy's playing at his level. The odd "style" that Danny Edelen tried to use could not be more different that what we expect will come with Henley and will require a lot of hard work in a short period of time.

 

The up side for North is that with the big man Devon Rowan and Senior Guard Max Steinfeld they have a good core to work from.

 

Junior Jacob Clark is an all world talent that just needs to break out.

 

The freshman and sophomore classes look very promising in both size and talent.
