In today's paper , there's about 1/4 page write up on the Mason Co's BOYS semi-final game with Brossart and NOTHING about the Clark Co -Scott Semi-final game. You did miss it. To me those games are not irrelevant at this time .Why would one game be printed and the other irrelevant.

I can not believe there wasn't a write up on the semi final regional game between Clark Co and Scott in Mondays edition of the paper that was played Saturday afternoon.There was a big write up concerning the Mason Co and Brossart semi-final game. That kind of thing makes me consider cancelling my subscription. I'm also going to add this to the comment line of the paper. First time in a long time we never had a winning regional team picture and all the pictures we had in todays paper were Mason Co people. There were other teams in this tournament besides Mason Co. PRETTY BAD LEDGER INDEPENDENT.

I agree ,it seems to get worse and worse and this year has been the worse ever. The refs in the Mason-Brossart game were horrible. Not many breaks for Brossart.

And all of us no'bodies have to buy one. That's a bummer.:mad:

Some people aren't real big on reasoning. Home court does make a difference if teams are close to having the same talent. With the talent Mason has coming back next year, the site won't really matter. Mason Co is rated the best team in the region but playing at home gives them an advantage and if you don't know this then you should talk to someone that knows basketball.

Montgomery may have those nice programs next year. The 40th district had them this year. ylsuper:

I'm not sure what they cost but the small girls and boy's program at the 40th district were quality. The picture and roster made it easy to identify players from the other teams. They had sponsors and sold them for a dollar.

When you go to the State Tournament this year go out and buy a newspaper to see whose playing and check the roster but be sure not to buy one of the tournament programs.(They don't have those in depth comments made by the coaches)

Mason Co has more depth and much more athletic and they have their home court. Mason Co by 15 or more points.

PRESSROW-- You can accuse me of complaining , I think they need a nice (well composed) tournament program whether anyone else does or not.:ylsuper:

I am not saying the paper did not do a god job with the preview of the 10th region tournament . I truly enjoyed the write-ups and all other information ,but what I'm saying is that at one time the 10th region printed quality programs, with the team picture ,name under picture ,roster with grade ,position and height and won-loss record on the same page. The paper had all this but if you wanted to identify a player ,you had to go from the picture to Page 38 to find out who they are. Little inconvenient .I did not mean to get people all stirred up. Just wondering what happened to those nice programs. The 40th district had a nice boys-girls quality program.

The 10th regional tournament , for some reason does not have programs to buy to identify the players of the different teams. The local paper had pictures and write-ups. I can remember when the 10th region had quality programs. Now ,they're selling the inserts from the local paper. Bad deal.

I played in the state tournament in 1959 and the only Louisville school in it that year was Manual. A friend of mine asked me to look it up for him. I remember seeing the state tournament when Wes Unseld played in Memorial Col and don't remember any other Louisville schools. I tried to look it up on the internet and couldn't find anything. Thanks
