  1. This past AAU season, Robbie Stenzel, Tony Kimbro Jr., and Treg Setty all played for the Louisville Derek Smith AAU team ,14 and under, winning the Ky State AAU Tournament. They played in Orlando and finished in the upper 70 %tile of 160 of the best teams across the nation. There was a lot of good talent there with some 6-6 and some 6-7 boys. The three boys mentioned above looked as good as any but the team was lacking in size. I'm sure there a lot of good freshmen ball players in the state that don't even play AAU ball and I saw a good boys on other teams in Ky on other AAU teams.
  2. I would think that any kid that would have the opportunity to play for Ky would take it and not even consider any other school with all the opportunities and benefits it offers after graduation. I wish him the best at Ky.
  3. In many games , the underclassmen hurt them as well. Any ball player will have an off game every once in a while.
  4. I thought that Browning was the spark for the Royals last year but never started. Thought maybe he should have been the fifth man.
  5. I wonder if the new 6'6" transfer will be playing the point or wing.
  6. Good list and I'd add the King twins from Deming and Treg Setty from Mason Co.
  7. They're sure fun to watch ,each one has his role and plays it well. They just seem to click together and I hope that continues. I wish them the best this coming season.Olive Hill had a team like that back in 1959 losing only one game during the season and went to the State that year.
  8. How about 6-8 and 6-9 8th graders. I saw a lot of them at the National AAU Tournament in Orlando this past week .
  9. I haven't heard, who is the new coach?
  10. I can remember when the regional tournament was held at Harrison Co. At that time Harrison Co had the largest gym in the 10th region.
  11. If Montgomery and Mason are in the finals of the regional tournament this coming year and the way I see it there is that chance and the tournament is held at Montgomery ,there will be 500 plus people turned away. :thumb:
  12. By facilities I mean , the best parking, the more efficient ticket sales, the most seats, and the most centralized for the other schools in the region to drive to. I do not live in Mason or Montgomery Co , but I've seen games in both gym's and I'd pick Mason but I'd probably enjoy games in either gym, that is if I can get in.:argue:
  13. How many schools in the 10th region could actually hold the regional tournament ,only two, Mason and Montgomery ,so is this fair to all the other schools in the region. Fairness is not the question, so have the tournament where you have the better facilities.:argue:
  14. From what I've seen, Ethan would be a great asset on any team.I wish him and the Elliott Co team the best this coming year.
  15. I agree, great selection, and you could add Ronnie Lyons and Fred Walker to that list. I'd say Ronnie Lyons drew more people to watch the Royals play any player in Royal history. He was something else. Love to watch him play as I did Chris Lofton.
  16. Ravenscraft did play at Rowan Co and he suffered a severe Knee injury when hit by a car at the A.I.T. He was one good ball player.
