I loved that article about the 47 Maysville Bulldogs.I'm going to try to find the names of everyone in that picture. I know it would be a big headache to do but it would be interesting to see articles with pictures of all Maysville and Mason Co teams that has been in the state tournament and all other area teams such as Fleming Co and Bracken Co. Brings back good memories.

I'll have to save my money or just might hitch a ride with Butler and Newdigate.

Boumount looked very good when Clark played them this year.

I think any parent would love to have their kid coached by Jay Fite. A real gentleman and a true leader.I have known him since he was a small child. I had both his parents and him in school. He was a great student and alhlete and does a great job coaching.

How many times did you see him play?

Great ball player, makes everyone else on the team better. I watched him play every game this past year but one. Let's give him a chance and not have all of this negative criticism. He can shoot and pass with the best and is one heck of a leaper. He also plays tough defense. I hope the best for him.:thumb:

I was speaking of some schools not having good coaches in the grade school and jr high and it sets them back a couple of years and makes it hard for the varsity and jr varsity coaches. They have to catch those kids up to where they should be.

Move Anderson up one team and it looks good.

I know enrollment is a factor but in the 16th region ,Ashland has 1013 and Boyd Co has 980 students in the top 4 grades and Elliott Co has 536 students in the top 6 grades. Also ,some schools don't have the best instructors (coaches) and this sure doesn't help the high school program. There's a lot of factors involved on why and why not.

Good players, year after year makes the well noted coaches. I've seen a lot of top teams play this year and the teams that impressed me as being well coached were Cov Cath and Scott HS. It seemed they could adjust to any situation. There's a lot of good coaches in the state but most fans base their opinion on who wins the big game or who makes it to the state and that's not right.

Drove through Georgetown , Ohio Monday on my way to northern Ohio and drove past the school and have never seen so many congratulation signs in all my life. Was a great win for the G-MEN.:banana: :dancingpa

How can a person get good State Tournament Tickets for next year for the lower arena. I'm not talking about tickets on the ends.

It was in the Lex Herald Leader after Clarks and Elliotts first win in the tournament , had an article about each of the 8th graders and their pictures.I have the paper but don't know how to send it . Go to kentucky.com and you may get it off the archives. Go to Kentucky.com and at the top, type in "eighth graders man up at Rupp" and the article will come up but it doesn't show the pictures.

Loved to watch Jeremy Anderson play. He plays with so much heart and gives it his all. He is always moving and has a given gift on how to score ,shooting threes or going to the basket for a lay-up and really knows how to use his body. He was my favorite of the tournament. I am a Clark Co fan because my grandson plays for them but my second favorite team is Elliott Co. I have followed them all year and saw them in the Class A, the finals of the 16th and in the state 2 games. I'm impressed with their ability to shoot and pass and to know where one another is all the time. I saw the twins after their first game and told them they played a great game and their response to me were very polite. Seem like great kids and I'll be following you next year in between the Clark Co games. Sure hated to see that injury to that Knipp kid. Had a fine article on him and the Stenzel kid from Clark Co in the Lex paper. Best of luck next year Elliott , and of course Clark Co too.

I think they have some big shoes to fill with the seniors that graduate this year from Mason Co.

Georgetown ,Ohio and Georgetown ,Ky (Scott Co) won the State Tournaments in Ohio and Ky.

I feel that Clark Co had a great year . I give Ballard credit , they have a very good press defense. they have good size , they all seem to have a very fast first move and finish well , they jump well, and know how to run the court . We didn't do well against their press. But we were there and that was a great feeling. Congratulations to Coach Humphries and the team :banana:
