I've heard the KABC has taken over the selection process. It is no longer up to the people from the Lion's Eye Foundation to choose the team. Pretty reliable source. I'm sure there will still be politics involved, but maybe some of the ignorance will be corrected.

11th region. I like Jones's game, but Lewis always played better against my Cards.

I look forward to seeing Fraliex play - I've heard he can flat out score. It's awesome that the tryouts are here in Georgetown. The tryouts are much more fun to watch than the games against Indiana. You get to see all the kids from the entire state compete against each other.

Congrats to Hill. Several Kentucky kids have had success at Southeastern under the direction of Coach Todd Franklin - Dante Smith from Oldham Co - went straight from JUCO to the NBA Draft JR Reynolds - I think he played at Muhlenburg North in high school Ramoan Taylor - Louisville Eastern - JUCO to Eastern Illinois These are the kids I know off the top of my head.

I posted the wrong school in the earlier post. It's not Webster Co, but Morgan Co. Actually I've heard that it's Morgan Co. and Griesser - in that order. I just don't know the guy's name at Morgan - sorry.

Total hearsay - not confirmed information: 1. Griesser from Scott Co. 2. The coach at Webster Co. 3. The coach at Henry Co. 4. Starns 5. I heard there was a 5th but I never heard a name or school

I would assume he didn't apply because from what I've heard he wasn't one of the interviewees.

:thumb: I couldn't agree more. :thumb: There was an article in the Danville paper saying that Yates - asst. at Union College who was the head coach at West Jessamine a while back - is the frontrunner for the job. Adopted Admiral might have the link?

Danville is the only job he applied for. Griesser - another SC asst. coach is the one who applied for Montgomery. He was Billy Ray Fawns coach at Georgetown College.

Seems like a logical conclusion to me???

I heard Hundley pulled his name out of the hat. He got tired of waiting. It's been at least a month since his interview... Harp must want to keep Danville a football school.

I bet he sets his sights on Miller and pulls it off. I don't think he's going to let in-state talent like that go elsewhere. Miller is special. He made sure he "bumped into" Bud Mackey tonight and shook his hand:D It's refreshing to know that UK now has a staff that is going to get out and WORK. Gillispie and Cox have seen more high school players in KY in a week than the former staff did in the past 5 years. I'm a believer.

I saw on the news where Coach Gillispie spent the afternoon in e-town today to watch Pettigrew. Tonight he was in Scott Co.'s gym watching Walls from 8-10 during their open gym. No scholarships were offered to either player at this time, but you've got to give Billy G credit for giving them both a fair, personal assessment.

He did a great job this year of maximizing the talents of his team. The move to insert Jimmy Warren into the starting line up was brilliant and really paid off. Encouraging Cam Hundley to embrace his role as a defensive stopper against the likes of Novosel, Rice (Holmes), the kid who won player of the year in Nevada, and other post players was also something he should be commended for. The highest praise is that he is a great role model for the boys at SC. He should also be commended for the schedule - he didn't dodge anyone. Congratulations coach Hicks!

Still VERY weak. Until he has his referee clothing on he's just another fan in the stands. That's kind of like an off duty cop pulling someone over in his Camry - with no blue lights to flash... I would venture to guess that the ref was "scratched" by the coach of the team who got the T's.

I agree 100% but it will never happen because of the advertising $$$ involved. There are way too many in the college games too. Thank God for TIVO - you can actually watch a game in under an hour
