Not entirely true - Truth - if it occurs during a valid attempt to block a shot then it is not a technical foul, however if (in the judgement of the official) it shakes the backboard and directly causes a shot that was going to go in to be missed - the official may call goal tending. It's a judgement call for the trailing official.

There are several kids who qualify for "beast" category (Hopson, Mackey, OJ Mayo, etc.). What I wanted to know in this thread is who dives for loose balls, takes charges, plays intense defense, would run through a brick wall to win a game... I've not seen Hill so I'm not saying that he doesn't - just clarifying the purpose of the thread:thumb: YODA

Does the Fayette Co. policy that kept Lafayette from playing on the first night of the Toyota Classic apply if the AWAY school system is closed? Scott Co. schools are closed tomorrow. Will Bryan Station be able to come to Scott County to play the game or is there a policy that they can't come?

Maybe since the All A is organized by someone other than the KHSAA they might use common sense to create the possibility of "an even stronger field". The KHSAA realignment did just the opposite for the Sweet 16...

I think they had to forfeit (spelling???) that one... This will be a tough game for Scott Co. Bryan Station poses a lot of problems. Mack is a BEAST. He did what he wanted - especially in the 2nd half last game. I'll still take my Cards, but it won't be easy. Scott Co. - 88 Station - 81

Anyone want to re-think their positions now? I'm going to stop after today - and turn my attentions to the Scott Co. v/s Bryan Station game tomorrow (Tuesday) - but no one showed up for the Crow lunch I fixed on Saturday afternoon. I had it all set up with plenty of Tropicana and Hellmans... OK - I'm finished. But it is comical to read some of these now, knowing that this Scott Co. team is no where near some of the teams mentioned on this thread.

I'd like to hear who the toughest/hardest working kids are out there. The ones who don't necessarily score all the points but get EVERY loose ball, play tough D, etc. I've seen Jimmy Warren from Scott Co. make an impact with his tough on-the-ball defense, offensive rebounds, and killer attitude. Novacel from Catholic has a tough/strong game. Others?

Yes - his 14 day suspension started on the Saturday after the Scott Co. game.

If Hopson returns to UHA you've got to think they'll be back.

It's a while before I'd want to make a thread for the next game - I'm still smiling ear to ear over this one! I thought that since this thread had gone all the way to page 5 I'd bring it back to the top just for some quality reading... now that the unthinkable has happened. Some of the more vocal haven't posted anything on the post game threads - but I'm sure they are reading them...

Camel - I put it in all caps - OFTEN - not always. In Scott Co. they (currently) back the coaches. It doesn't happen too often other places: Ligon @ Shelby Billy Ray Reynolds when he was @ Scott Co. Coldiron and the last 4 other coaches @ Powell Greenup Johnson Central Niemi @ Ryle the list goes on and on...

And mom and dad pat junior on the head and call the Heavy Hitter. Administration sides with the parents so the district isn't sued and junior learns a valuable life lesson... Respect for coaches/teachers is a thing of the past because moms and dads and administration OFTEN side with the kid rather than the coach. This "grab em" coach was an idiot, but in general...... the kids have changed because the parenting styles have changed.

Not just any 3 games. 3 district games. Tuesday v/s Bryan Station Friday @ Henry Clay Saturday v/s Sayre Then check out the next three games: v/s Cov Cath @ Huntington @ Lex Cath Butal... Their entire schedule this year has been brutal. Hopefully they will be more prepared to finish the job in the regional tournament this year.

A bit premature, but I like how you're thinkin'. I heard he was on ESPN radio this morning being interviewed about the win over Huntington.

I think they announce him as 6'4, but he's really 6'3.

Coach Hammons has a tough, hard-nosed team. They didn't back down from Scott Co. at all tonight - just didn't have the weapons... He got a tech tonight for arguing a call. He was right - there is no doubt that it was goaltending on Portwood. West got WAY more questionable calls tonight than Huntington did last night. It was nowhere near the quality crew that was at Memorial last night. Tears would be flowing from the HHS faithful if tonight's crew had refereed last night's game.

I just think it would be a really good fit. It's a level where he could contribute and be a part of a chance to play in the NCAA. He has some family down there I think. WKU came to watch him some early in the year but dropped off. They were at the Henry Clay game to watch Moses and Matt absolutely dominated the game. If Ty Profit can sign at Notre Dame then Walls should be getting offers from AT LEAST that same level... IMO

A solid win for Scott Co. There were about 500 people in the gym tonight compared to 7500+ last night. West Jessamine was scrappy and played hard.
