I have been impressed with the maturation of Michael Dunaway and how well he has fit into Coach Duvall's plans. Makes them very dangerous. If there was a year to win it all, this is it.

In the championship game of the 8th Region All "A" Classic vs. Walton-Verona, Owen County's Carson Williams got his 2,500th point. Congrats to Carson as the accomplishments continue for him.

Saw a post last night from Principal Duane Kline that school is closed at Owen County but as of last night, the 1st round tournament games were still on. I'll update if that changes.

I saw on Nell Fookes facebook page that Boone County is planning on retiring Sydney Moss' #40 jersey Monday night between the JV & Varsity games against Ryle. Sydney was Miss Basketball and very deserving of this honor. Wanted to post for those who may want to come out.

The Elder Panthers come across the river tonight to take on Cooper. Should be a great matchup of two of Greater Cincinnati's best teams. Thoughts?

Adjustments in the 3rd quarter by Owen County were the difference as the Rebels held Gallatin County to just 6 points while scoring 15. If you count the 2 three pointers going into halftime by McDonald, a 21-6 spread really was the difference. Owen showed what coaches have been saying. It's not just the Carson Williams show. You have to guard everyone. McDonald, Toftness, Dunaway, McAnally, you name them. You have to see the behind the back pass that Big Mike had to a trailing Toftness (I believe) for a layup on a runout. It was something else. If I can find the link, I'll post it. As Mack said, great game plan by Coach Jones. The Wildcats just couldn't sustain it.

WE'RE BACK!!!!!!! What a way to kick off the 2015-16 season. Back where it all began in Warsaw tonight for one of the best rivalry games in the state as the Owen County Rebels head over to Gallatin County. Polar opposites this year in Owen County is undefeated at 6-0, while Coach Jones and the Wildcats look for win #1 this year. On paper, not a good game, but in this game, you never know. It seems that both teams kick it into another gear for this one. We will have coverage of Pre-Game, Halftime and a postgame wrapup tonight LIVE from Warsaw on Periscope for your smart phone. With McDonald and Toftness up top, That will take care of the guard play. Either one can light it up from behind the arc. Add in McAnnally (sp?) on a wing and you're in good shape. After seeing their intrasquad scrimmage, even their bench players can sub in without missing much.

The Lady Wildcats are in the most capable hands with Coach Mefford. Whatever chances the team had this season, just got a bit better with Coach Mefford at the helm. Gonna be weird seeing him in blue though.....

That is correct. We were supposed to do that game. 2nd year in a row snow cancelled it.

It was the Superintendent that asked Jon to stay on as Coach. Biggest thing for the Wildcats is if Koby Carlton is healthy this year. Injuries have plagued him for the past two years. Being his senior year, he should be more than ready to hit the floor. They will return Jay Shrader and Mason Wilson from last years team.

Baseball coach was an assistant at Bellevue. If Coach Douthit is gone, he's probably heading to Ryle to take the girls job.

I will have to say this year's schedule is the most aggressive schedule that Owen has had in a long time. February will be the true test to see where they are before post season. Also have to think that if Michael Dunaway is inside, that Carson will get more opportunities from outside to improve on offense. IMO, that would complete his game.

Who is attending and does anyone have a schedule??
