Bluegrass/Buckeye Classic at NKU
buttels replied to One Great Scorer's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I talked with Scott head coach Steve Fromeyer yesterday and he confirmed that it is cancelled. Said that the Griffin family could not make it work. He mentioned a $25,000.00 price tag, which does not get that much for the charities if that is for BB&T rental. Sad. -

Last I heard, it was 15k/day to lease, I agree sponsors (probably Griffin Industries) covers that cost. -

Any chance that Josh Feldman comes out of semi-retirement?? -
The second game between Cooper & CovCath will start about 25 minutes after the first game with Dixie/Holy Cross, so our pre-game will start as soon as we close off the first game. Glad to be re-joined by "The Coach" Aaron Stamm as we dust off the equipment and our voices to bring the doubleheader Saturday night. Our stream will only be available at TriStateInternetSportsRadio.com. The site will be back up later tonight. Very excited to be back and running.

Jon does not let his guys panic. They are also not intimidated. His bigs did get a bit frustrated with Kelch's size and ended up with 3 seperate players trying to cover him, but his size was an issue. Jon has said that Coomer is probably the best pure shooter he has coached. That is saying a lot, given his tenure and some of the teams he has had. This has developed into a nice rivalry over time. Gallatin defeated SK in the 2012 region also.
