Yes, berryman was the one hurt, but he played and had 16 points. He didn't show any signs of being injured.

I don't really care either way, but it sounded like a great game. It could have went either way. I don't recall ayone winning any game by 1000 points so that is kind of a silly remark. I have seen a lot of scores this year where people lost by a big margin and no one is posting about them, so why is Breathitt so important to you and to that other poster MSU I think. JBS beat my team by 30 some points, but thats just the way it goes.

Any updates on Berryman's injury. I saw him play a couple times this year and he can shoot the lights out if he is hot. What grade is he in?

It sounded like a great game. Breathitt had a chance to tie n a three with 5 seconds left. Could be a nice rematch in the region.

If the assistant coach was getting any favors then it looks like his own son would be getting a lot of playing time. The middle school state tournament you are refering to is really irrelevant to high school basketball. Lots of good middle school players end up being average high school players. If I was part of a 20-2 team that has a legitimate shot at winning the region, I would be pretty excited, but that is just me and my team has only 7 wins. On the elementary coaching thing, most coaches start out at some level other than head coach of a high school team. I don't know of any one that would hire a coach with no coaching experience of some kind. What ever they are doing seems to be working, but if you would like to coach, you should apply.

Didn't Breathitt win these last two games. I think they won at Knott and at home against a good Lee Co. team Sounds like two good wins to me.

I agree. I think Jackson should have the tournament in their own county. There are 3 schools in Breathitt Co. and one in Wolfe, so it should be in Breathitt Co. 3 times and Wolfe one. Is Wolfe even big enough to hold the huge crowd that Breathitt and Jackson will bring when they play. Probably around 3,000 in the first meeting at Breathitt.

You said that you finally got to watch the bobcats, so I assume this is the first time you saw them play. I was just curious how you could determine the strengths and weaknesses of the players, the best starting line up, and the best three kids to come off the bench by just watching a team play one time. Did you see these freshman play last year as eighth graders? I know Fugate went to a Perry Co. school and the others were at S.M.S. Just curious

I think against Hazard they started 2 freshman 2 Juniors and 1 senior. They have a junior starter, Aaron Combs out with a broke foot right now.
