per CamelPride.com The freshman and JV boys basketball games at Covington Catholic on Monday, January 23 are cancelled. The varsity game will be played as scheduled at 7:30pm at Covington Catholic. There WILL NOT be any presale tickets available. The gates will open at 6:15pm at Covington Catholic High School.

Since much of this thread seems crazy to me. I'll add my crazy take on things. Camels up 18 at the half, Camels win the first half. Camels win the second half by widening the margin by 5. Camels win by 23. Noise in another thread about the Camels 2 point win over Conner at Conner, but not much said about the Camels 17 point win over Conner on a neutral court. Birds blow Conner out of the gym with an 11 point win at Highlands........... Camels will get their due at Cov. Cath. who is ranked anywhere from #1- #4 in the state. Will this be an earth shattering event if the Camels lose to Cov. Cath. My dad can beat up your dad...... :ohbrother:

I'm as big of a Camels fan as anyone. That being said, this was the worst games I've seen the Camels play this year. I didn't make the Bracken game so that is not part of my equation. They just played lazy with the ball. All night. TURNOVERS. I've never seen the Camels turn the ball over like they did this night. I give Conner credit, they played hard the entire game. My Camels did not.

Besides being one of the greatest atmospheres in Kentucky for basketball. There is at lot more than meets the eye going on. Every year the Alexandria Cross Town Shoot Out, has a student driven food drive. This year over 8,100 lbs of food was collected by the two schools, which exceeded last years mark of around 8000lbs of food. Spectators attending the game are also encouraged to bring food to the game. In addition to the food drive, a $1000.00 scholarship is given to a Campbell County student, and a $1000.00 scholarship is given to a Brossart student. Scholarships are based on student involvement in the Community. It's a GREAT EVENT, and THANKS to the Alexandria Community, and the Bishop Brossart, and Campbell County Students for all their efforts.

Tough night for the Mustangs. Camels were six deep off the bench in the 2 quarter. Generous substitutions by the Camels the entire game.

He grew Jordon didn't play varsity basketball as a sophomore, he played JV. I believe he was something around 5'9" when he was a sophomore, but grew about 6" that year.

Nothing......................................................................... A few years ago I suggested they give Honor Roll Students free sports passes in an effort to boost student attendance. My theory was students are not coming to the games. If you gave free admission to the Honor Roll student, they may come, and bring someone with them that would be paying. Plus, it could possibly inspire a student to do better in the classroom. That wasn't received well.
