  1. Yes. He will be playing in Louisville if you want to check him out as Bowling Green will scrimmage at Trinity on Sat 11/14
  2. I don't see how you can give it to a walk-on when you'll have several D1 players on solid teams. If Justice can lead Shelby Valley to a very good season and deep in the state tourney, then maybe but Johnson, Guyn, and Sewell and the Etown kid(Washington?) will have to be considered.
  3. If Josh Sewell has a great year coming out of Louisville he will need to be considered, especially since Guyn and Johnson are surrounded by so much talent
  4. Again, I don't believe anybody on here has indicated that Justice is not a quality player and kid, just that if he has done all these things then why are we hearing about only one or two lower D1 programs and UofL(local program) recruiting him. If he could play at a high D1 level (UofL), he should at least have several other offers from historically lower level teams from the premier leagues(e.g. Auburn) and there is no indication that he does. :idunno:
  5. Justice is certainly a solid player but I believe if he played in Louisville, he would be no better than Thomas Jackson, Delquan Thomas or several other of the guards in the region. I can't speak to the Lexington or NKy kids but the fact is he has been given the opportunity to dominate because he's on clearly the best team in his region and has played well in his occasional games against good talent. But I just don't believe from the times I've seen him play that he would stand out if he had to play against the best athletes every week! And whoever said he's the best athlete I have to disagree with! If he gets an offer from UL and sees significant minutes in the future, please come back and remind me of this post but until then, IMO he would be better suited to go to a place like Jacksonville where he could potentially get a lot of playing time.
  6. Can't put any KY team ahead of X or T until they get beaten by an in-state team. Trinity destroyed SK last year in state and deserve the #2 ranking until they get beat by someone in-state besides X! That being said they will face a tough test this weekend at Ballard.
  7. Trinity WAS the #1 seed in district two years ago. Agree they need to pick it up against Ballard this season
  8. Agree that this may be the toughest district in the state and it will be key to get that number 1 seed, although Waggener won't be a pushover! I think Trinity has the ability this year with their personnel to put in a lineup where they will be much more athletic than they have been in the past.
  9. I would expect Trinity could surprise some people this year and move up from their BGP ranking at 8th place in the 7th region. Return the top player in the 7th in Josh Sewell with another impact player in 6'5" Taylor Epley. Should have a solid supporting cast with Daniel Corbett, Chancellor Armstrong, Charles Foster and some other quality players in the mix.
  10. Maybe I was watching the wrong game but I felt that this Trinity team played X MUCH closer than the past few regular season games. I didn't see the absolute domination on the lines of the past few years on and I think with a few things going their way in the first half, Trinity leads at half and we have a different game. I like T's chance in a rematch if Kragthorpe can stay healthy and Beatty plugs a few holes, as he always does.
  11. Saw South play this summer. \They seem to be very limited inside and depend a lot on the 3. Could certainly be trouble if they are shooting well but are they really the 3rd best team in the 8th?
  12. When it comes playoff time, the best players will be playing for Trinity, no matter what year in school. From what I understand, a couple of the freshman could contribute on the varsity level for anybody, including X!
  13. Haven't seen them play yet but from what I understand, the Trinity freshman should more than hold their own against X!
  14. I think X will be solid and if they are hitting the three could upset some teams but I don't think they will be in the top 6 in the region. Butcher is a solid guard and should be their best player. I'm not sure how effective they will be in the middle but they have a nice group of guards.
  15. I beleive this was a rainy cold night on the old grass field, not the new turf? That would have limited the passsing game that Beatty uses so well.
  16. I think the 7th will be the deepest region this season as there may be 5-6 teams ranked in the top 20 at a some point this year. Eastern, Ballard, Jtown, Male, Trinity, Seneca, Manual will all be dangerous teams this upcoming season. Should be some fun games to watch!
  17. Haven't seen their schedule but, if they are going to be in the mix at Rupp, they have to play as many quality teams outside their region as possible as I just don't think they will be challenged in the 15th. Can't replace live game action when you are talking about facing the size and athleticism of the Lou, Lex and NKy teams and they just don't see that too often in the 15th! I agree they will be ranked in the top 5 but that won't count for much in the end if they haven't played anybody to get that lofty ranking.
  18. You could certainly be right but I think Manual's year will depend on how well Nikolic plays. I think they have some other solid players with Samsel and Mitchell but I just don't see them at quite the level as the other five teams. Time shall tell if I am right or wrong?:idunno:
  19. I would say the 7th is Eastern's to lose and then I would increase the list of possibles to: Ballard, Jtown, Male, Seneca, Trinity and I don't think you can seperate these until you see how they start the season.
  20. Will be ranked in top 2 all year! Still have to play in one of the top regions to get out so it won't be a cakewalk to Rupp. Only teams with possibly more talent are Holmes and Eastern but Scott Co. has a lot of seniors, as does Holmes, which would give those two the advantage over Eastern.
  21. Will be a MAJOR threat in the 7th this year. Team is loaded with talented athletes. Only problem is that they play in the same district as Ballard, Trinity and Waggener and there is a good possibility that 3 of these teams will be ranked in the top 20 at some point this year.
  22. I guess Sherman got kicked last year when he ventured south as I recall Trinity handled them easily! Cincy X is a very good team this year but high school football changes year to year. Assuming Cincy X takes care of business against Highlands, this is a good year for Cincy football and they have a great team, but that can change next year!
  23. Speaking with someone who was at both games, Cincy X is much better than Elder! I assume they play later this year, so we will see?:idunno:
  24. Although it is tragic that he died it is an unfortunate reality that this happens. I heard that three other teemagers died THIS WEEK in football related deaths. How many kids die in car accidents on their way to sports practices? Unfortunately, bad things happen in this world and blame cannot be placed for every unfortunate event! If you want to keep every kid safe then no sports, home school everybody so they don't have to get into a car or have a chance to catch a flu bug, and, oh yeah, don't eat or drink anything that you don't grow in your backyard because it could be contaminated. As long as you try to live life, unfortunate outcomes will continue to occur!
  25. I have to agree with the other posts. I think Trinity will hang but they will wear out in the secoond half and probably lose by 10-14 points. If the offense can get on track early and put any points up and take a lead, that could motivate the D to hold on but I think it will be extremelly difficult to come out at halftime down and make any challenge at Cincy StX's home field.
