  1. Well Trinity plays them next week so I would hold on declaring supremacy until you see how all three fare against Cincy St X.
  2. Again, you can't expect to use the passing game effectively if you don't believe in it. I still think St. X uses it more as an experiment than a weapon and that's why it isn't there in a big game when they need it.
  3. Exactly my statement in the pre-game thread! Does anyone have the passing stats for Lou X?
  4. One would conclude that Cincinnati has better teams at the top level. I don't know if that would hold true every year but probably in most, including 2009!
  5. Third quarter in a game that's over doesn't matter. Again, you may be correct but I want to see Lou X use the passing game as a weapon against a major opponent, since they really they haven't in 20 years, and this will be their chance! If they can combine a passing game with the always strong running game, they'll be tough to beat in KY this year.
  6. That's good but doing that against probably the best defense they see all year, in what will probably be a close game, is different than doing it against mediocre teams when you pretty much know you will win the game. I bet Lou X's passing game will be a non-factor unless they get way behind and have to throw but I have certainly been wrong before.
  7. I think Trinity will struggle mightly this week and next against Cincy X but I would bet one of the games will be closer than the "experts" predict. That being said I predict that they will go 0-2 in Ohio this season.
  8. I think the problem for Lou X will be that they will not be able to manhandle Cincy X on the line and that will make it very tough on their running game that they have used so successfully against KY foes the past few years. They'll have to open things up more with the passing game than they have against KY opponents and I'm not sure they can.:idunno: We'll know after this weekend!
  9. Still struggled to move ball. Xavier Thomas out after 1st quarter- not sure if he was hurt but backup RB Jack Tencza did a good job with probalby over 100 yards Didn't allow Frederick to throw much but he had two nice throws for long gains. I bet he didn't throw over 10 times all game. Defense gave up yards but strengthened near goal line to keep the shut out. Nick Robertson kicked 2 field goals (49, about 27) and put every kickoff in end zone- He's a weapon!
  10. I think a lot of the problem last week was that when Kragthorpe went out and it was right in the middle of the Ind LN run, it deflated the team. Preparing knowing he won't be there, I think the kids will be ready!
  11. I tend to agree with GREENDANDY. As I recall, when St X was loaded a few years ago, Ballard played them very close at X and probably could have won the game if not for a few turnovers. That being said, St X always seems to pull it out so I'll take X by 7 points but I think it will be decided in the 2nd half.
  12. After watching some of the summer AAU ball, I think the Flannery kid from Scott Co has really improved and may be a factor!
  13. Fucci, Barksdale- Tates Creek and Guyn, Jackson- Scott County for starters
  14. It's tough for a sophomore to be an impact player. I think Manual will struggle this year in the tough seventh region. I think they will be behind Eastern, Ballard, Jtown, Trinity, and Seneca. My darkhorse is Seneca!
  15. If Colerain is anything like they have been the past few years, they will win by at least five TD's!! Manual is not close to their level!
  16. Shining Stars McFarland loses to Fab Melo"s Florida Rams by 4 to end their AAU National's. Congrats on an overall great AAU season with an undefeated pool play record and several Quarterfinal or better finishes in some tough tourneys!
  17. I think SS McFarland will play in 2nd round losers bracket but you better double check if you plan to go to game.
  18. That should have stated a second round loss by SSMcFarland
  19. Shining Stars McFarland lost first round tournament game to Youth Interlock Society.
  20. You'll find out today if DSAS is playing well because the CP3 team should be pretty good.
  21. Shining Stars McFarland win last pool game by about 6 points.
  22. Shining Stars McFarland wins 2nd pool game by 23. Play the other 2-0 team tonight but they are guaranteed to be in championship bracket.
  23. Shining Stars McFarland won 65-58 to go 3-0 in pool Play Silver bracket 1st round tonight at 9:15
  24. Shining Stars McFarland won second game by about 12 2-0 in pool and I believe that they will play the other 2-0 team tomorrow
