  1. Gallatin County comes away a winner tonight beating Ludlow convincingly. Also, Carroll County wins somewhat easily over Dayton in the night cap game of round one. Good luck to both teams as they advance through the tournament.
  2. Of the schools in this one, who is the favorite? I have to admit to not knowing much about most of the schools in this one, so I am going to say Gallatin County is my favorite to win it this year.
  3. Link to the tournament bracket on the KHSAA website.... http://scoreboard.12dt.com/scoreboard/khsaa/kybbk10/spec_5897
  4. This year's participants are as follows.... Carroll County Gallatin County Ludlow Dayton Harrison County Barbourville Villa Madonna LaRue County and 2 of the infamous teams to be named later.
  5. Ours is 67 in winter and about 80 or so in the summer.
  6. I have watched McNeil play in person and he is a good player. I think he will be really tough by the time he is a senior.
  7. Well folks, Gallatin County has about 3-4 inches already on the ground this morning and it is still falling... Safe travels everyone.
  8. Congrats to the Bluebirds for bringing home another title! Way to go!
  9. That drum line rocks. Watching the band and fans get jiggy in the stands is worth the price of admission IMO. lol.
  10. I think the hand checks are a point of emphasis this year, at least that is my understanding. I am certain the referees are being told that as well.
  11. :dancingpaCongrats to NewCath.... nice season and a convincing win in the biggest game of the season. Go Breds! Glad to see another title coming back to Northern Kentucky this season.
  12. Guess you never took a good English class. But I'm sure you are still in school at Twenhofel.
  13. Coach Jones is a very good coach and certainly gets the most out of his players that he can. Having said that, the players that he has had in the program have something to do with that 'getting the most out of them' comment. These kids love to play for this man, which speaks volumes more than ever will show in win/loss columns. So from the time they are little 'uns, they are taught to play in the system that he basically has worked to build. As has been mentioned several times, Jones rarely has a kid much taller than 6'3" or so. Jones adjusts his coaching and game plans to work the best with the talent he has to work with.
  14. Sounds like you may be ready to go off half-cocked! Season is way to early to be predicting a trip to Rupp IMO. SK is a good team, but I am not yet ready to crown them region champs just yet.
  15. Wise decision here. Reinhart is a good coach, and a good person to boot. Congrats to the Brossart faithful.
  16. SK wins this game. Too much size and depth for Gallatin to handle... would like to see Gallatin win this game, but honestly don't see it happening.
  17. I find it amusing when my friends that are left of center, die hard democrats, talk of Palin... think back to the 70's in the movie the Exorcist and envision the bedroom scene where the possessed girl starts projectile vomiting, and spinning her head around. Seriously though, Palin has not said she was seeking the Oval office. Personally I do not think she is going to win the nomination even if she did seek it out. Nor do I think Mr. Obama will win a 2nd term. Heck, from what this weeks news says, many in his own party would like to see him challenged for the Democrat nod.
  18. Thanks for the updates, keep them coming if you can.
  19. I know first hand that there are several teams in NKY that throw the ball often, and with some success. Conner, Campbell County, and Simon Kenton all throw the ball quite well. Ryle throws the ball with some measure of success as well. All of these teams play Boone regularly. I agree that Boone needs to develop a QB and a good corps of receivers if they are ever going to be successful.
  20. Oh Clyde, you're killing me! Almost spit my beverage on the screen when I read some of these replies!
  21. I think the obvious question yet to be answered, at least publicly, is how did the brawl last week involving the kids at Central impact eligibility for thiw game? If Central is at full staff, and I think they will be, then I believe they will advance. Honestly, I have not seen North Oldham play this year, so I don't know what they are like. I have seen Central play and they are big, and fast. If North can match up well, then it should be a good game.
  22. Is this the same Respectable person who punched out a bus window?
