  1. No way this should be a PK. This ref is going to mess the US. Justice served on the save.
  2. Two out with hamstring injuries. I repeat, three days rest is ridiculous at this level. Should be five days minimum.
  3. They only get three days rest. The last two games have been physical as well.
  4. Big win today for the US in a hot climate with one day’s less rest than France. It seemed to take a toll. Next they play England, AGAIN on one day’s less rest. That shouldn’t happen on a stage this big.
  5. This^ And looking at bills like this, one can be amazed at many taxes we pay in addition to income tax, FICA, etc.
  6. Or daughter. I just think it is over the top PC.
  7. I’m with you. Although I’m no fan of Lavar Ball, I take his remark to her to be cheeky, but not sexual or harassing. Our PC is to the point of ridiculous.
  8. Thank you all for the great advice. I am not excited about this, but it will be nice when I get more range of motion.
  9. The time has final come (July 8) for knee replacement on my right knee where I have acquired osteo-arthritis which is only logical given a post surgical infection many years ago after ACL surgery. Of course I would like to replace the knee with $1 billion dollars, but I'll have to settle for some contraption. I know BGP is a relatively young group, but I am wondering if anyone else has had a knee replacement and would share their experience. Honestly, I am not looking forward to this at all, but it is time. Winter would seem like a logical time to do this, but it is better for me in the summer when tending to the horses is pretty easy as they graze most of the time AND Mrs. doomer is off for the summer. I am an avid equestrian, and the "off-horse" time is going to be tough as I have retired, due to the knee, from all my previous sporting endeavors.
  10. I think your number is too high, maybe double reality. There are still many professions (or jobs) as well that drug test, public service, transportation, manufacturing, etc. and a positive test is an out. I really don't care if it is legal or not, I am not a big fan of drug or alcohol use. I believe people should find a healthier way to find a mental release. "Get off my lawn!" :-)
  11. People need to complain about something and writers have to write about something even if they make it up.
  12. I won't spend much on shoes maybe $60 tops. However, years ago, I spent over $100 on my hockey skates and close to $200 on my ski boots.
  13. Not Normandy, but my dad and one of his brothers were US Marines engaged in the South Pacific. I still have my Dad's "four island" belt buckle. Neither of them spoke much of it, but after their passing, their friends shared a lot of stories about the "Irishmen from South Memphis".
  14. Principle Stockholder. Owner connotes a small proprietorship to me, and these are big businesses.
  15. I like War of Will and Tacitus which probably means they have not chance haha. I am going to have to do some research on the field.
  16. In talking to some people in the business, I don't think it is having that effect. West has very deep pockets, and the perception is that he is showing that off, and the other owners are not going to, or not in a position to wager $5.0 million on a race.
  17. It looks like a pretty evenly matched series. No team needs any help, but plenty was given last night.
  18. We watched the entire season. It was a fun kind of show and the accompanying characters were actually what made the show enjoyable. I was sorry to see it was cancelled.
  19. One of two directions: I was a Hardy Boys fan, so detective/FBI agent. I have a passion for animals, so veterinarian. I chose the first path, but things don't always work out like you plan.
  20. Jockey...except Chris McCarron said they'd have to chop off my legs at my knees. Plus I'd need to lose many pounds, haha.
  21. About once a month, however I have a trimmer that I will use probably weekly over my ears.
  22. Good point...he was a mid-May foal so he just turned three. That’s a lot to take in as a youngster. In that case, it is possible his dam did not get fertilized during an earlier breeding trip (or two).
  23. 20 in my entire life....all of it as an adult. Grew up and lived in the same house until I was 19 and moved out during college. I have lived in Tennessee, Colorado, Massachusetts, Michigan and Kentucky. It's way too many.
