  1. Buddy has lived in KY for a long time. I think their step mom is still alive but pretty sick including buddy's health is not the best. I believe Rex coached at EKU before going to OK to be on staff. I might have that backwards. I mentioned Rex the other day because of family reasons though I don't think it will happen. It would be pretty interesting though.
  2. How old was Artuse Pinter? After his sr they foundout they have two or three different birthdays for him
  3. Considering their backgrounds Dykes and Brown could happen in theory. If Dykes got the job he would have to bring a different OC.
  4. Foot in mouth about Brown not being the OC. I got him confused with Texas A&M's OC. I could see Brown as an OC here
  5. You would think yahoo sports could get who is the head coach at Texas tech. It's not Neal Brown and he is not their OC either.
  6. What makes him a gimmick coach? The man can coach. He's a little nuts but he can coach If Dykes were offered he would have to get a different OC. KY is not going to let him bring Tony Franklin which is a shame for Franklin. Cutliff is taking the Spurrier path back to the SEC but KY becomes average at best with him. The guy at Clemson is interesting but I don't think they could get him. Noel Mazzone would be interesting as an OC or maybe a HC. Taggert would be interesting also
  7. This is great! I just wish we had a list of what they have so we don't have to ask about a bunch of games.
  8. I would think since it is not their full time offense they don't have it figured out. This is a guess but I bet they are pretty much just using the base power, counter, trap, wedge and sweep. If they go full time to it and expand it a little it will help.
  9. That's good to hear. I honestly wish they would just go full go double wing. It might not be sexy but its a great little offense
  10. Did Scott run the double wing? I know they had started using it some and didn't know if it was their main offense now.
  11. Also don't assume you're talking about a 14 yr old. The kid could be 15 and turning 16. So it would be like a soph in some cases. I don't know if Ryle is playing a frosh but I do know they've used 8th graders on the frosh team. So depending on age the kid could help. I do know there have been large school teams that have won state that played a frosh or two.
  12. That was not a knock on T. It was just a statement that some programs wouldn't allow things like that which I believe is a real shame. I know of one school that won't let their kids wear anything pink. I know some schools were everyone must dress the exact same. I know some schools won't let the players be expressive. So it was a simple statement that I'm glad T allows the player to do such things. Not ever statement is an attack or an underhanded statement about T
  13. Does that kid normally do a flip running out? I agree regardless how you feel about T that is a great pic and the players at T are given some great opportunities. They are very lucky.
  14. Was Grant able to move the ball at all? I know they were trying a few things different.
  15. Has Grant been able to move the ball at all?
  16. I think the filming rule is pretty loose even though it doesn't read like it. I don't think the home team has to allow the film guys into the exact same location. If you film from a press box then giving the other team the chance to film from the top I'm sure fits. On a complete side note on filming there are schools in the state that film from multiple locations at the same time during the game such as sideline and end zone. I would be surprised if they give the opponents the same access or even a choice
  17. I think it was while I was watching the OSU Miami game that they brought up the no Percy Harvin type. I think Quick either fits that role or at the least gets a chance to fit that role. Can students at T graduate early? I think he'll stay to run track either way but was just wondering.
  18. I don't know the exact rule but teams are suppose to exchange a certain amount of game film. Conner might see it as away for teams to get extra film. One easy way around it is to use the Ryle tape as one of your traded films.
  19. They might be selling him on the fact they need someone in the Percy harvin role. I keep hearing that is one of the parts they are missing currently at OSU.
  20. Foolish trying to throw a game together? Yes. Would it of been a great game to see? I believe so. It would of been great to see how JCC and T matched up. Two great programs with great history and coaches.
  21. Poor sentence structure on part as I was using Hoover as an example of playing top programs and not a distance example. I also wouldn't call going from NO to Louisville going across the nation. I take fly by night to mean unreliable, or unscrupulous. JCC is none of those things. I completely get having pride in ones program. I agree the idea of putting together a game like this is just stupid. To just dismiss JCC as some random program that T would just have their way with is looking through some very green tinted glasses
  22. This thread has made me laugh. I don't think T is dodging anyone. Adding games like this is just not smart period. It is also pretty clear that some people on this thread are not very familiar with JCC. they are not a FL school but a school from LA. They are a small coed private school. I think 2A in their state and I also think sense they are private they have a multiplier to their enrollment but I'm not 100% on that. Comparing JCC's offense to X is not doing either team justic. JCC is one of the top split back veer teams in the country. If one wants to compare offenses then JCC and De lasalle in Concord CA is a much better comparison. JCC is not some fly by night program. They have taken their kids across the country many times to play top schools (Hoover as an example). They are one of the top programs in the country. I would love to see the two schools play because they are two great programs. I think it would be a great challenge for them both
