  1. I'm told he has 2 cracked vertebrae in his neck. Can't confirm. Nathan had a head-to-head contact on kickoff just before the half. No cracked vertebra. Will be in a neck brace and see a neurologist today. Matt and Debbie.. you are in our prayers for Nathan's speedy recovery!!!
  2. They are looking the part! POTENTIAL!!! We have to stay healthy going through this gauntlet of a schedule. One game at a time. Question... How does an opponent prepare in practice for the speed that Trinity puts on the field. The big test will come in two weeks when we face the Ohio powers back-to-back on the road. I'm looking forward to visiting the pit again. What a great atmosphere... GO ROCKS!
  3. Final Score> Trinity 30 - Highlands 6 Rocks sacked Highland quarterback and recovered the fumble in the endzone to make it 30-0. Highlands scored a touchdown with 1:53 remaining in the game. Two point conversion failed. Three quarterbacks played for the Rocks... Sophomore QB, #15 Reggie Bonnafon started and showed a lot of talent. Freshman running back, #45 Donald Brooks was the most impressive player on the field. The Bluebirds had no answer for him. It was nice talking with some of the Highland fans... have a safe trip back to NKY!
  4. Thanks for the link UK! I wish there were pics of the great plays the ROCKs had. I'm sure there were to many to choose from. I do understand that it's there coverage. Does anyone have the game stats? I was at the game. Great atmosphere The hospitality from the Brentwood supporters was over the top. Congrats to our ROCKS for a great game plan. The physical strength and overall team speed for this years team is amazing. Those of you whining about depth need to relax, players were shuffling in and out all night. It's the first game of the season and the starters need reps to oil this green machine. In case you didn't notice... there are 15 starters on both sides of the ball for this years team. Stay healthy and I'm looking forward to the home opener next week against Montgomery Bell Academy. Should be a sellout again. GO ROCKS! #21!
  5. The only team that can stop the Eagles are in Rupp Arena stripes...
  6. I hope Ryle picks up Trinity. That would fill out our (Trinity) 10 game schedule. I really like what Ryle is doing with there football program. I truly believe they were the second best team is 6A last year. We have two open dates to choose from. Maybe something can be worked out... FYI! Here is our current schedule for 2011. How tough is this? Aug 19 Brentwood Academy (TN) Aug 26 Montgomery Bell Academy (TN) Sept 02 Open Sept 09 Cinn. Elder (OH) Sept 16 St. Xavier (OH) Sept 23 Indianapolis Cathedral (IN) Sept 30 St. Xavier (KY)* Oct 07 Male* Oct 14 Manual* Oct 21 Open Oct 28 Cinn. Moeller (OH) *District
  7. Replacing Ryan Scinta will be tough! He was a real work horse on both sides of the ball. That kid gave 110% all the time. They have a lot of potential with there tall sophomore QB. Build around him and success will be on the upside. Good luck to the Bearcats football future...
  8. I think there is always going to be a well deserved player not on the 1st team. These honors are always hard to construct. IMO, Trinity's Derek Bishop should have been 1st team over Wales from Central. Wales is a tremendous young back and I mean no disrespect to the young man. Ask anyone who had to tackle Derek this season what they think of his speed and power. He got stronger as the game went on. Ask Ryle's defense about the 100 yards Derek racked up in the fourth quarter alone. They didn't even get his height and weight right in the paper. Try 5' 7", 186 lbs. He will most likely be MVP at the State Power Lifting meet this year and a repeat Best Lifter at Nationals. GO Rocks! #21!
  9. James Quick is the real deal. He really stands out on the BBall court. He's only going to get better as he gets into basketball shape after a stellar football season... GO ROCKS!
  10. Elder and Moeller are on the schedule for next year. Cinn. X will not renew. MBA and Brentwood Academy in Nashville will be on the schedule. Maybe Ryle. Need two more teams! Is Highlands interested? They dropped us last year and added Beechwood.
  11. FYI! Championship Shirts, Hoodies, and long sleeve T's in black or grey will be available on Monday morning at Trinity. My closet is getting full of these Trinity collectables... GO ROCKS! #21!
  12. I will have to say, I really enjoy watching football games at Western Kentucky's stadium! I hate the drive from and to Louisville. BUT! The size is perfect for High School Football. The staff running the show is very accommodating. They use the play clock. They allowed the parent who wanted to, to come on to the field after the game to enjoy there special moment with there son's. Something Papa Johns refuses to do. What's the harm... never could figure that one out! Having DUCK, the WKU food commissary very close to the stadium, gave fans an option for a warm shelter from the cold and options for food before entering the stadium. Good job WKU and KHSAA... see you next year... GO ROCKS! #21!
  13. Thanks Alabama! I think Male is headed in the right direction for the future (good coach)... Only time will tell. This year, the Rocks were heads above everyone. They had the full package. There just wasn't a weak spot to game plan for! The next few years should be interesting... I hope you had a safe trip home and also, the kids that were slow to get up are doing OK!
  14. It's late... just got home (2:12 am) Congrats to the Rocks!! #20 is sweet! Coach Beatty was pretty classy, calling off the dogs in the second half. Also, congrats to Male for making it to Bowling Green. The game went as I expected... Male couldn't match up with the Rocks O-line and D-line. James Quick was the MAN on the field. Male had no answer for him. GO ROCKS! #21!
  15. To answer the initial question... are you kidding me? That's football 101 at Trinity. Maybe that's why we win, win and win some more.
  16. Go Yellow Jackets! Bring home another Championship to Louisville!
  17. Nice try jimmyref! The difference between baseball, basketball and football is night and day! Even YOU should know that... This ROCKS are loose, hungry and focused! Coach Beatty will see to that! Even your witchery can't overcome the Rocks!
  18. The only problem is: Male got to the championship game because the five best teams were on the other side of the bracket. No disrespect to Male... facts are facts! Male did a great job in the playoffs playing the teams that were put in front of them. I really like the direction the new coach is going with the program. With the new district alignment, I am going to enjoy competing with them year in and year out. Now, they will face a team that is faster, stronger and with an offensive and defensive line like none they have not seen this year. But! Anything could happen... the ball has a different shape than any other sport. Trinity will have to show up and stay focused to bring home #20! Coach Beatty and the coaching staff will make sure of that!! Good luck to both teams and I hope everyone has a safe trip to Bowling Green. Trinity 48 - Male 13.
  19. Yea! Thank you! The refs were so clueless, I think they still think it's called "Illegal Procedure". Everytime the announcer made that call, I just laughed...
  20. Male has a very good team! But I think Male won't have any answers for Trinity's versatile offense with it's tremendous speed. It's just hard to prepare for. Trinity's defense has been on a war path with it's 4-3 alignment. The bulldogs will have to have a balance attack to pull off the upset. Just a run game won't get it done. My prediction will come later in the week. GO ROCKS! #20!
  21. Congrats to the Rocks on a great win on the road against a very good Ryle team. Buffalo Bob's was a great suggestion by Ryle fans... we had a great meal and a great waitress, thanks! It seemed to me that Travis Wright was not on his normal game tonight. The cold weather seemed to effect his throwing ability. The T defense played a great game shutting down the high scoring Raider offense. Ryle IS the 2nd best team in KY (I mean that as a compliment)! Congrats on a great season. I'm going to leave the refs penalty calls in Union. I'll just say, call it the same way on both sides. GO ROCKS! #20!
