  1. And this is based upon... Cov Cath won the first game by over 20 and while St. Henry does typically play well late in the season their performance against Villa didnt display anything of the sort. If St. Henry hopes to stay in the game they need to play much better. I dont see that kind of improvement no matter how much practice time you have. Ill say Cov Cath by 8-12
  2. I'll take Cov. Cath. in this as sneaking past the bulldogs and Birds
  3. Andy Schulte is 5'11'' just a little correction. :thumb:
  4. There's nothing like a CCH / Highlands game especially one where the Bluebirds think they already have it wrapped up and CCH is playing with nothing to lose. That can many times spell upset. Can't wait till Friday! With a Spirit that will not die.
  5. Punch is back went down but came back for several plays. Word is he will be fine for next week. Hell of a tough kid who wants to finish his senior year.
  6. :dancingpaCov Cath wins it. The game against St. X was closer than the score says and they're ranked higher than Dixie or HHS. They have more experience in a playoff situation than Dixie. They final have their whole team back, I think even Punch may be back. It will be a close first half, then CCH will take over. This is a team that has a lot to prove. Buckley isn't the only kid on the team who played during the playoffs last year, he is the MVP so they have been here before. All the way to the trophy and the huge ring!
  7. Cov Cath will win this game 21-7. They are coming off a big win against Holmes (however not with the usual CCH class) All their players are back and this team is hitting it's stride. They were a great JV team, They have overcome injury and insult. This is one tough group of young men don't count them out yet.
  8. Someone watching practice yesterday said Jake Punch was practicing? Is he back thought he tore his ACL?
  9. This couldnt be farther from the plan. Isler has a bone bruise and with this it was mostly up to him and the team doctor whether or not he would play. As always pain indicates irritation to the already weak bone. With the slip at midfield im sure it became even more irritated. Isler was not oging to play the whole game. He did, however, have the possibility to go in for a few series. It was completely a game time decision.
  10. Will Deters scored twice running, Jake Punch on 19 yards pass, and Zach Isler ran in for the final CCH score.
  11. The wide reciever was senior Jake Punch, He was great last year on j.v. He played behind Pete Sutton so you didn't see much of him last year.
  12. I was at the game for the first half and it just appeared to be a mismatch. I am curious why this game was scheduled. Does anyone know if Beth Haven had an off game or if it was truely just a mismatch?
  13. I think that the Cov Cath defense will once again step up. CC- 27 BG- 14
  14. All I was saying was that I would think that the CCH Defense would have a better showing. I didn't say they would hold the birds to a shut out.
