It would be nice for these two powerhouse clubs to bring state titles home in the same season.(mercer again). They are coached just alike, same coaching family. Who are the backs for Western, i hear through the grapevine that they are gonna have All State backs for the 5th year in a row.

The way that Western has already playing in this preseason...splitting in passing league with Trinity, and beating pretty much everyone else, and now beating Mercer in there first Scrimmage. I look for the Warrior to win 10+ games for the third straight season and possibly make a state championship run.

Any results? Heard Both teams looked sharp, with big numbers?

Trinity. beating Ballard, Male, HC, and Ryle in four weeks...crazy the Male/ T game was crazy...in the crowd the whole time, shoulda been the state championship

Western Has got to be near the top... In the past five seasons we are 26-3 at home. The home field crown really isn't the case for the Warriors, but just the passion of protecting our house(players win games not fans) Plus i dont believe any team loves rolling through Shively on Friday night., if they have never been to the West end of Lville before.

These Rankings are pretty accurate, Central is for sure the #1 team in the class. They return there entire team almost...SPEED SPEED SPEED. Look for a great State title game between them and either Belfry or Russell.

Morgan Co, really should climb into the top 10 this season. With a below difficult schedule, and several very talented kids returning, along with a strong new coaching staff...the cougars have the recipe to return to recent success

where is the love for western.. they lost a lot in the senior class...but this was the first off season ever they lifted weights, have had 80plus kids at practice, and Coach Doug Preston is now in his second year, of installing a very high powered offense.

Bath Co. should be solid this season....the QB is very sound

Ballard is a school with top of the line talent. hope they can put it all together.

Western should be the favorite in district 3. Returning the whole offensive line, and key underclassmen, now maturing, the warrior now look to mix up newly accuired strengh with everfamous WESTERN WARRIOR SPEED. This team is a lock top 10 team.

why did he only pitch three innings.....Rowan Coaches must have just givin up....save for another game.

A really lopsidded draw....three top 20 ranked teams in the top half of the bracket, and none in the lower half...Western has to be a favorite to make it to the title game, having beaten all three teams on their side....PRP then will win the Region again, beating western for the third time this season.

Tonight at PRP Western will try to knockoff the Powehouse known as Pleasure ridge park. PRP has won the last three districts, but Western brings a long, and very athletic team to the game, that has won 8 of its last 11. should be a good one!

Good to hear this....go vikings....gotta be getting closer and closer to another Regional Championship....there senior class deserves another one.

also add 6'5" WR Jimoris Johnson to the Indiana State list..a reciver from the 06 class at Lou. Western. Johnson who commited to the University of Kentucky last year, took a year off, and will now join Justin Collins at ISU. Westerns 5th college commitment this year....with maybe one more to come. The skill kids at Western are deep in the talent pool, for sure.

Word around school is that Westerns other RB #8 ROSKO Dardin who rushed for 1800 yards and 600 rec on just like 120 carries(the 6 all time yds pre carry in kentucky) is going to attend Morehead State University. This would give Western 4 players who are signing with D1-AA schools. with maybe one more player who could be signing as well.

Man I'am a eastern kentucky kid....i lived in the mountains my whole life.....i just have watched and played a lot of football in my dad....and i have never witnessed SKILL players in kentucky...like the ones in Louisville this year. Congrats to Scott and JT.
