I see Breathitt not having to ruff of time with Knott. Knott has won maybe 2 or 3 games this year. I look for Breathitt to roll over them to avenge their lose to Middlesboro. This young bobcat squad is gonna be a pretty good playoff team if they get everyone on the same page. Breathitt-42 Knott-6

Who is your opion will take the win in this district game? And why?

I went to Middlesboro VS Harlan and the jackets didnt impress me at all. They have huge holes in their defence. The Dragons had plenty of chances to win the game if the qb would have been accurate. Breathitt in a blowout. Breathitt-35 Middlesboro-14

Both teams played well in this game. Leslie has some turnovers that kill their momentium. BUt both defences played extremly well in this game. It seemed like Breathitt couldnt really get anything going on the offensive side of the ball in my view. They had one drive the hole night, but the defence is growing up really fast for this young bobcat squad. Good win for them.

I believe that Middlesboro shouoldnt look over Harlan. We as in Breathitt had quite the game with them. They have some pretty big boys on their team this year and they beat us up pretty bad. If Middlesboro lets them hang around then i predict that they will lose. Middlesboro-21 Harlan-27

Breathitt has 4 returning starters from last year. The young cats could be dangerious. They have gotten alot of experience from last year and look for these cats to turn some heads this year.

Hollan, Combs and Smith from Breathitt are going to be good this year. They are underclassmen but these guys can play and they got alot of experience last year playing as sophmores. These kids are going to be good this year in what little i have watched them practice.

This game may very well be the game of the week in 2A next week. Both the Bobcats and Yellowjackets are 7-1 entering the game. This is going to be a denfensive battle. If the Bobcats can come out and play like they do in the second half at the start of the game then the bobcats will win. But if they stutter arounf then they can get beat. I give it to breathitt though in a close one. Breathitt-14 Middlesboro-12

Breathitt and Middlesboro meet up in two weeks in Jackson, what do you think will be the outcome of this game of the week game?

I dont know about this one. We as in Breathitt had a hard time with the dfence over there. Our offence didnt really get going though. I think this will be a tight one. Middlesboro-14 Harlan-13

The Mike Holcomb Athletic Complex in Jackson is a nice stadium. I beleive that it will hold about 2500 give or take a couple hundred. For a 2A school this place is awsome. Belfry also has a very very nice stadium. Trinity has one of the nicest anywhere in the country. All of these are nice stadiums.

I would have to agree with this. Breathitt I think did overlook the Trojans. The two turnovers could have been huge for Cawood if they had turned one of those into points. But dont get me wrong they young Bobcat defense played another good game. Just the Bobcat offense never seemed to me to get started. I say the Bobcats offense will have to play alot better if they want to beat Middleboro and Leslie. Middleboro is a true contender this year and Leslie isnt a team that you can overlook, exspeacially at Leslie where you know the refs will give them some questionible calls. I give the edge to Breathitt. Leslie is a okay team but i think Breathitt will find away to win this game. This game will mean alot in the distrist play. Breahtitt is looking for a number 1 seed but if they lose this game it might not happen. But Breathitt should have no problume with Leslie if the offense get going. The Bobcat defense is stepping up and the offense looks stail. Look for this young Bobcats offense to get a fire lit under them this week in practice and sit back and watch the points rack up aginst leslie. Breathitt-42 Leslie-14

Who in your opinion will win and why?

Chris Jackson and Ben Allex from Breathitt, are causing huge problumes for the team they play aginst. These two are outstanding. Jackson is a junior and Allex is only a freshman but these two are people to watch out for.

In class 2A I would say that the darkhorse is Breathitt County. This young bobcat team has already made a statement with the beating of Harlan County at Harlan. People are now noticing these young bobcats, they only have 4 seniors but the 4 they have are some great athletes. Becham Herald is one of the mountains best running backs and Casey Allen is one of the best o-linemen. The Bobcats have a couple good games left, one is aginst Leslie at Leslie and another aginst Middleboro at home. But i give the edge to Breathitt in both games. Watch out of the young bobcats, they will be causing some problumes for someone if they overlook the bobcats.

From what i have heard Estill doesnt have that great of team this year. I give this one to Flemming. Flemming-60 Estill-21

I really dont know much about Belfry, I think they played Pikeville in a scrimmage or in a game but they didnt beat them by much. Breathitt killed pikeville in a scrimmage over the last summer. Belfry may be good im not sure but watch out for those bobcats.

Look people i dont kare about mercer county anymore. They are in 2A, o well. I agree that its not right but lets get over it. This thread is about the 2A state champs not mercer county.

I think Becham Heraold from Breathitt county deserves some credit. He doesn't get much reconition but he deserves it. He plays both sides of the ball very well and is a key to the Bobcats success this season.

The thing about Mercer is that they havent done ANYTHING in the years before. Plus with the enrollment of a 4A school you should have some good if not great players. You dont come into someones house and think you can do what you want. You have to earn it, its not given!
