Future Head Coaches...
He was head coach in the early 2000s, right? They fired him and hired Arthur. They then proceeded to fire Arthur and hire Gay. Hmm... I think Bozeman is a much better coach than many think.

Pulaski County new coach is Al Gover
I didn't view it as a "shot." It's a viable and very good question as to why their success isn't higher, especially compared to other schools.

Best PG next year?
Polson is the best floor general in the state. Most athletic? No. Best shooter? No. But the kid is one of the best passers and complete floor generals. He doesn't turn the ball over, gets the ball where it needs to go, and has a deceptive ability to get into the lane with a deadly floater. He is the best Point Guard, maybe not the best player that plays point guard, however.

All State Team
A year or two ago, there was an argument who is the better player out of Euton and Watts of McCreary Central. Well... based on the state selections, we see how others feel...

When did players stop getting tall and start getting long?
Last weekend, if memory serves me correct.

The Door...
All the news stations in Memphis have had their cameras pointed at the door to the athletic department at Memphis for the past two days waiting for something, anything. An online feed of Fox 3 showed the door for hours and hours at a time in which the "door" became a character all of it's own... But now, breaking news: The camaras are now being set up to face the home of John Calipari, according to those at Fox 3 Memphis... So.. we'll see what happens from here.

SSF's 2009/10 12th Region Preview:
Move on to where? From everything I understand, he'll be back next year.

SSF's 2009/10 12th Region Preview:
Woolridge not a junior this season and senior next? If not, they will struggle. 48th should be the best district with Wayne and McCreary.

SSF's 2009/10 12th Region Preview:
West Jessamine makes the farthest trip in the Sweet Sixteen for a 12th Region team since South Laurel won it all in 2005, a year before moving to the 13th. Now that the season is over, can the Colts make a return trip? Here is my preview for next seasons 12th Region. 1. McCreary Central (21-12, L - Region Finals) The Raiders return one of the most talented players the region has ever had. Watts leads the charge for McCreary, a team that returns four starters and their entire bench. The lone senior for 08/09 season Schrock left his mark and will be sorely missed with his long body and athleticism. How will the schedule be for Coach Jones and his Raiders this coming season? It will be a tough battle with rival Wayne and Southwestern all in one district, the best this coming year. The Raiders will run deep into their bench with incoming freshman Tyson Williams playing significant minutes. Is 27 years long enough for the Raiders? 2. West Jessamine (28-9, L - State Final Four) A rematch of last seasons region finals is likely to happen again. The Polson-led Colts enter next season as one of the favorites, with the experience that matters the most. The Colts lose a couple of valuable seniors who helped Polson get the Colts to the Final Four. Can they overcome this? Hammonds and his defensive-minded team will likely be a lock to make a return trip to the region tournament, but can they overcome their losses? 3. Wayne County (17-15, L - Region semis) The Cards can never seem to get over the hump of a successful season and successful post season. Woods teams have lost many times in the past regular season, but made a run to the semis of the region before losing to eventual champion West Jessamine by double-digits. Wayne lost in their attempt for a second straight 48th district title to the rival Raiders and will be fighting again with Dunigan leading the charge next seasn. 4. Southwestern (18-11, L - 1st District) One of the best shooters in the region will guide the Warriors into the 09/10 season in T.T. Woolridge. Schultz is coming off his first ever failure to make it out of the district since joining the 48th, losing to eventual champions 3-seed McCreary. The Warriors and Schultz always seem to be ready come tourney time and I think it continues. 5. Lincoln County (20-10, L - Region semis) After consecutive years of winning the region title, the Patriots fell just short in an attempt of a repeat on their home floor, falling in the region semis. Jackson, the coach of the year, loses POY in Ethan Spurlin, but always seems to have the talent needed to coach into great teams. Other teams? Add your thoughts.

West Jessamine 51 Hazard 40
I really thought West, McCreary, or Lincoln could have all won this game and possibly the next.

Corbin/Eastern Updates
I hate that Corbin is going to lose this game. A good team, but Eastern is playing very, very well and Corbin seems tight.
-
West Jessamine 51 Hazard 40
I knew West would win this game. Polson is a player.
-
West Jessamine vs. Hazard
What kind of D does Hazard play? It's not that he's just a scoring guard. He is a guards guard. Passing, shooting, and driving.
-
West Jessamine 47 McCreary Central 42
He drives and passes very well. His passing ability is amazing and usually finds the right people at the right time. Great free throw shooter too. I think all around, Watts is the better player.
-
West Jessamine 47 McCreary Central 42
They officiating may not have been to the liking of many of us Raider fans, but the game is over. Take nothing at all away with West Jessamine. They played composed and determined. Good luck to the Colts. I have you beating Hazard on Wednesday! :thumb:

West Jessamine vs. Hazard
Polson and the Colts move on. West Jessamine 60-52

West Jessamine 47 McCreary Central 42
Same refs. They were very good in the Lincoln/McCreary game but there were some questionable block calls on McCreary when Polson drove the lane. But what can you do? McCreary should have played like they have been from start to finish and they didn't. They beat themselves, with a lot of help from Jessamine. Polson didn't get anything at will like he did the last few games, but they were just very patient.

Corbin 71 South Laurel 35
Wow.
-
West Jessamine 47 McCreary Central 42
I'm not going to say that officating cost McCreary this game, but being down by one with thirty seconds left, Watts was mauled by four Colt players in the paint not once, but twice after getting his offensive rebound. McCreary was complacent on shooting threes and passing all game and was behind my seven and eight points the entire contest before they used the paint. Roark and Schrock both fouled out for the Raiders. McCreary pressed in the fourth, but three consecutive times lost the fifth Jessamine player for an easy layup. Better luck next year, Raiders. Good luck to West Jessamine.
