Yeah, it was Ashland, they had their own little one. It was not nearly as good as the HHS cannon. The thanksgiving game was when they brought in the fire trucks and hosed the field down. Thanks Dudley Hilton!

As much as I'd love to see a Cov Cath rematch with the Birds, I just think the blue Colonels are limping into the playoffs with too many injuries and uncertainties. JC will bull their way onto the next round.

I knew a guy from FBLA in high school that went to Paul G Blazer high. Brendan Crimmons was a good dude. I'll just never forget in 1992 when they tried to take the cannon down there and the guys transporting it were told that if they try to fire it, they will go to jail by the cop standing at the gate. That was our motivation to win. I truly thought Corey Scarlato was going to kill someone. I remember that the atmosphere there is pretty exciting. Lots of respect for the Tomcats but just don't see them pulling this out.

I am still rooting for SK, despite my personal feelings, I dislike Dixie more than SK. So therefore, I root for SK.

4 Lexington, 5 Louisville, and 3 NKY teams advance in 6A. So out of the rest of the state outside of those 3 areas, only 4 teams can manage a playoff win in 6A? Is it safe to say one of those 3 areas is a lock to win it each year? Are there just not too many 6A teams in western ky or in mountain regions?

What, has Mr. Skinner taken a geography class that I haven't which excludes Highlands from NKY? Or are these just the games he felt like writing about? What happened to including all the games in a preview? Incomplete article.

Eagle, you fell for the oldest trick in the book. After last 2weeks now the state has doubt and getting overconfident about playing Birds. Let me just say that anyone who thinks highlands is weak will be let down now that the games count it's time to step on the gas and take cruise control off. I believe like others have previously said that there is always a "method to Dale's madness," if you will. They will make necessary adjustments to win.

Boyd might beat the Froshmores in the fourth quarter by that 31-28, but the final score will be way out of reach of an upset. I am predicting 70-42 Birds.

:idunno: hope Simon Kenton makes it out injury free. The first round when you're a heavy favorite is scary because you worry about your horses staying healthy. I predict most of them will be resting in 2nd half. SK names the score.

Colonels will air it out and win big.

If WC brings the heart and talent that I saw last Friday, it's no contest.

This is one of those games where you just hope to come out healthy and may even consider resting some of the horses for down the road. BG rolls with some starters resting in 2nd half.

Ashland will roll in this one.
