Here is the Enquirer's preview of the main matchups for N. Ky. teams in round one of the playoffs. As much as the Lit rankings get knocked by me and others, I do find them insightful and like that the Enquirer includes them in these game previews. By this point in the season, the difference between two teams' Lit rankings are pretty close to what the expected point spread is in the games. Using Lit rankings, the Campbell Co. vs. Pleasure Ridge Park is the most even match with Campbell Co. just a 4 point favorite. Other games in this preview with the spreads using Lit:

 

Simon Kenton 43 points better than Southern

Dixie Heights 28 points better than Seneca

Butler 24 points over Ryle

McCracken Co. 44 points better than Boone Co.

Conner by 11 over Montgomery Co.

Franklin Co. 14 points better than Scott

Anderson Co. 16 points ahead of Cooper

I was shocked by this as well. Only 6A and 5A were covered. The other four classes didn't get a mention. The headline declared those 5A and 6A games as the areas top games of the night.

If I'm not mistaken he covered the other 4 classes earlier in the week. I even thought to myself what happened to 6A.

I'm just used to the old days when you could see all that night's games at once.

The games that are expecteded to be massive blowouts were not included today. I believe there was something in yesterday's paper. Highlands, Beechwood, New Cath, maybe someone else I am forgetting are all not in this article.

We did Class A, 2A and 4A on Thursday... thanks Panther 8404 for including the link...

Split them into two days to provide plenty of info on each game.. if we ran them all one day they would have been chopped to nothing more than when, where and records...
