Final

This was a statement game. Birds were firing on all cylinders on defense. Just in time to meet a healthy Cov Cath for what should be a great game.

I expected this to be a little more competitive.

I didn't with Hope back in form, Wrobleski back, and the stepping up of many other kids. Highlands D was nothing short of fantastic tonight. Does anyone have Ashlands offensive stats? I think they were negative yards in first half.

Wrobleski almost took out two of his own players tonight. He was impressive. CCH is in trouble next week.

Seriously if he isn't offered a full ride to play safety somewhere there is something wrong. He is the most impressive defensive back I have seen all year..

I expected this to be a little more competitive.

Why? I don't see Highlands being challenged the rest of the year.

I expected Ashland to put a few early points on the board and maybe give us a little better game defensively.

Ah, you are talking about Highlands correct? Maybe you don't realize just how dominant they are. You need to get out more often.

I do get out. But they just keep draggin' me back in!

I think that Cov Cath will make the game more interesting since they are healthy; I still think Highlands wins by 14.

Hate to see the Tomcats take a loss like that but a loss was more than expected. The Highlands program imo is just unequaled.

Ashland under 1st yr. head coach Love imo surprised a lot of people. RB Baker is the real deal and I think that Tomcat football just may be back to looking like some of the V. Marsh, H. Conley days. Coach Love is bring the option back to Ashland. Yes, call it a spread, read option, pistol or whatever you want to call it so the kids today don't think it's old but it's the freakin' wishbone, lol. Wishbone, veer, pistol, spread, read....its the stinkin' option. :sneaky:, and I love that style of offense. :thumb:

Good luck next season (except for your Raceland game ), imo the Tomcats will have a great season.

I would say that Cov Cath looked great last night. Beating JCHS like they did at JC was impressive. I saw some highlights on our local news and the few plays shown....Wow !

Shock and Awe; The Bluebird offense.

This is why coaches should never give their team false sense of hope by showing them wrong film...LOL

I did find it funny that the kid from OH didnt know what to do with the balls that HHS kicker Dougherty was booming into the endzone...

I saw him catch one and try and bring it out...I saw him catch one and take a knee...I saw him let the other just sail over his head...and I swear I thought I heard him tell the ref one time...Your rules in KY are stoooopid...
