25 points maybe, 10 rebounds is a bit of a stretch with Rice back and he certainly wont average 5 assists a game. Austin is a shoot first, shoot second and pass third type of player. No knock on him though. I still think he is the best player in NKY but he likes to shoot. In my opinion he will be around 20 pts 7 reb and 2 ast a game.

I agree, he's not the tallest or the quickest guard around here but he is very crafty and really knows how to play the game.

Yes, I believe saying that a senior who hasnt even played that much varsity ball is one of the best shooters in the 10th region is a bit much. If he is that great of shooter than why not play him more?

I dont know much about the fight or the drama going on here but from what I can see you got a kid that was a huge contributer at SK and didnt like the fact that they lost alot. He then left and went back to Holmes, a team that would win but then wound up not being a huge contributer and didnt like that. Now he is ready to go to out to Gallatin Co, a team where he knows he will be a star. Just seems like some people are hard to please. And like I said, I dont know much about the drama but I bet he isnt completely innocent.

Well Elder beat Cov Cath and Highlands ( @Highlands ) close games yes but they still beat arguably the two best 3A schools in the state. Lasalle is the worst team in the GCL and only got beat by St X ( one of the top teams in the nation ) 14-7. I said they could not would win any divisional state championship in KY and I think that is safe to say. Take any one of the top teams in 4A ( Lou. St X, Male or Trinity ) and I think anyone of those 4 GCL schools COULD and in 2 cases ( St X and Moeller ) WOULD win.

Thank You Sandman, the award I was refering to was the one open to all players in all classes. Which Austin won over Vories and everyone else.

This is the last go around for these boys playing together. That should be reason enough to keep it together and have a great season. I hope these boys are disciplined enough to make it through this final run.

Howard is gone and I really dont remember any other big man that they had lastyear. They have a good group of guards but those guards will have to shoot lights out to win alot of games this year. They will probably be out rebounded in almost every game this year.

You can say they are having a down year but they meaning Elder, Moeller and Lasalle could come down here and win any division state championship. You say Lasalle always struggles but they played St X better than Cov Cath did.

Well first off they are all private schools ( St.X, Elder, Moeller and Lasalle ) so they can bring kids in from all over. I know a guy who lives in Price Hill and is a die hard Elder fan. The last year they won the state championship he told me that there was maybe 10 or so kids that got playing time for that team that actually lived near Elder. They do alot more with their feeder schools over there. They basically get there Varsity teams lined up 5 or 6 years in advance when these kids are in the 7th and 8th grades. And lets face it Cincinnati is a big city and there is alot more talent over there than there is in Louisville and Lexingon combined.

I think the 6 to 8 week recovery time is a little optimistic. Plus you're dealing with a D-1 scholarship football player. Im sure they wont rush him back and try to protect that ankle as much as possible. There really is no reason to rush. As long as he is back in time for districts they should be happy.
