What should we expect from the Eagles this year?

Seems like Coach Carr has instilled some toughness to the program, one of which was sorely lacking when Coach Trame was there.

Eagle Pride is County Wide.

Is Howard still there? I think without them they will find a tough go in the district.

 

They can compete with Campbell, but watchout for the Grovers (their coach will have them ready). Brossart has so much size, Scott will have to shoot lights out. I see them finishing district runner up and possibly making some noise in the 10th region tournament this year (wouldn't suprise me for them to reach the big night, semifinal night).

They darn near tripped up Clark County in the first round last year.

Howard is gone and I really dont remember any other big man that they had lastyear. They have a good group of guards but those guards will have to shoot lights out to win alot of games this year. They will probably be out rebounded in almost every game this year.

I agree with you that they won't have a lot of size, but I think the team will rebound better than last year's squard for the mere fact that they relied on Howard to do the rebounding and now all five starters will have to do it.

 

I think they will have a chance in their district if they can figure out a defense against Brossart's big lineup, but I think they will at least be district runner-up again.

As far as the 10th region tourny, it all matters what their drawl is.

Scott is really lacking a legit big guy, which will at times hurt them. They have a lot of returning guards which are going to have to play smart, tough basketball. Knowing Coach Carr, I would say that if the kids bought in to the system then they will be able to play physical and be able to rebound despite their size.

Scott should be fine this year the Group of seniors they have this year were sophmores when coach carr took over, so they know what is expected of them and they know how hard they have to play to win games.. I think Scott wil fair well in the tenth region this year they have two returing starters in Sharpe and Quigley, Sharp was the second leading scorere last year behind Howard. They Insert their Sixth man Danny Miller in the line up now, and he came on strong at the end of the season. Their seventh man last year was Kenny Phelts and he will be inserted into the line up probably along with Ryne Smith who is and Senior and one of the best shooters in the region. They are Small but have experiance in Varsity play. They will play alot of young Guys off the bench this year, they will be fun to watch it will be run and gun.

Gotta agree on this one...Smith was as good a shooter as I saw on the JV level last year but let's see if he can transfer that to the varsity level before we start comparing him to kids who have already proven it on the varsity level. Shots are a little harder to come by and the close outs get there a little quicker.

 

For Scott's sake I hope he fills it up from the outside because if he can't those driving lanes for Sharp and Quigley get a little tighter. If Miller and Smith can score from the outside consistently Sharp and Quigley can get to the rim and that could make Scott a tough out come tourney time.

Nikola Is his first name he is one of the strongest kids on the team....Has made tremendous strides from his Freshman year to now,,,It will be a toss up really,,,Either Nikola, Smith, Bianchi (JR) or Hillard (SOPH) that will get that finaly spot....

One of the best shooters in the region is a bit much....I said one of the best not the best...

If Scott is on from deep they'll be okay but once they go cold, it'll get ugly.
