Is the matching of Louisville teams in the third round going to be an annual event or did it occur because of the draw?

Dear Guru, you are being too tough on the KHSAA. To suggest that the draw might be rigged against Louisville schools is ridculous. .. Actually it is a pretty good plan, All of the schools will get bigger revenue in the first two games because of the distance factor. Boone County v. Dixie Heights will bring in more money than Boone County v. Ballard or Fern Creek. I also like it because every district will have a team playing a third round game. It does prevent some Louisville schools from having a chance to play a second or third round game. Historically that would be Manual, PRP and Ballard This year could be a bonanza for Trinity and St. X if they play in the third round. Their ADs might contact Papa Johns now just in case. In fact, the third round game between any two Louisville teams might be at Papa Johns. The K in KHSAA stands for Kentucky. I think KHSAA may most of Kentucky happier.

I could not find the "band" forum and I associate marching bands to football rather than any other sport.

Does Trinity have a marching band? How many members

The reason that I ask this question is because high school bands come to Honolulu in April to march down Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki. Last nite there was a band from Pensacola, Florida. Bands from Michigan, Iowa and midwestern states have come. Most come from California. It is a great vacation for the band and the families. Some of these bands have 150 members. Are there any high school bands in Kentucky that have done the major parades? I do not think that my alma mater, Trinity, has a band so at least we need not discuss putting Trinity in a different class.

I realize that if you live in Louisville you have heard all about the St X dynasty. And it irritates the hell out of Trinity alumni. I was told that St X manhandled Trinity in the games in 2004 and 2005. I read that St X freshmen and JVs were beating Trinity. I questioned Trinity's ability to "recruit"(not used in KHSAA manner) the best players. But it seems that the better the other team is the harder the other team plays. It will always be that way between the two schools and will always be the incentive for both schools to develop good teams. The annual game may even get bigger as the number of living Trinity alumni will, in about ten or fifteen years, be as big as the number of St X living alumni. I remember when I was a freshmen in 1958 Trinity beat St X(we never beat Flaget in my tine) and the Xmen were shocked. I sense that there is that same type of shock this year. I hope Trinity can put together a great team next year. I have read that St X will be great again next year.

Dear Oxnard, many of we Trinity alumni were stunned at Trinity's victory and we are well aware that St. X has gone to three straight state finals and has great freshmen and JVs in the mill. The way it seems to be going Trinity will be playing St. about four games a year.

Looked at varsity list and see most of the skill players at WR and RB are being graduated. Who will be the key WRs and RBs next year?

Then I think we Trinity alumni should not post questions to St X whether it needs a new coach. Give me a break. St X has been to the last three final games, won one and came close in the other two. ST X has had three great years and appears to beating Trinity in freshmen and JV games. Sure, some St X fans are arrogant. They should be because St X is a great school in education and sports. Let us Trinity alumni not be arrogant.

LSU Rock you have got to be kidding. Right? Mike Glaser has taken St. X to three straight state finals. In the last ten years St. X's record is 115-21, St X has been to the state finals five times and won 3 championships.
