Both teams had a few errors, but both teams also hit the ball very well, i guess it was an "ugly" game, but at the same time it was a great competition goin back and forth the whole way through.

i guess in football, every player on the field moves alot on every play, thus staying warm, and thats really the only reason i can think of, maybe its just pure football grit

I saw her playing softball a couple years ago, and she was using a left handed glove, and later I saw her with a right handed glove, so I asked her about it. She said she threw right handed in the infield for quickness, but from the outfield she threw lefty for power!!! Peggy deserves her recognition. She's a class act. BTW, Kendall Noble of Breathitt is a legitimate 7th grader, not a holdback. This young lady will go far.

I do agree with you about JAckson struggling a little outside of district. But isnt this the exact same lecture everyone was giving last year?

Jackson pulling away 80-59 with seconds left in a foul plagued game. Davidson leads Jackson scoring with 34. Drew Davidson has been under the pre-season radar but that will change real soon.

Jordan Fugate signed with Alice Lloyd College on Friday. Fugate was one of the key players in Jackson City's dream team this season. Congratulations to Jordan and to Alice Lloyd on signing a fine young man!

That's a sad chapter in the school's history. I think it was 215 against some private school that was putting 6th graders on the floor. Some of the Jackson players took their jerseys off in protest and went and sat on the opposing team's bench. Lowdenback was looking for glory and got ridicule and shame instead. It should not have happened.

I'm really surprised no one has mentioned the Jackson City Lady Tigers. They have beat Breathitt 3 times, at least once in 5 innings and also beat Hazard on their way to becoming the All A Regional Champs. They get very little coverage but have very quietly in the last couple of years put together a solid team who can be competitive.
