How good will williamsburg be next year? Don't they lose their QB and some good receivers?? Tough loss for Elam. Pineville has a good young coach that will keep them competitive year in and year out.

It ended up with jackson county having 12 yards rushing and 9 receiving. A couple late runs helped get them over the hump. North had 11 seniors on defense tonight, 4 who usually don't start. This game could have been much much worse (in the 80's). North held back on offense as much as possible (Three linemen carried the ball and each one had a 12+ yard gain). Three of the TD's were scored by players who had never scored in a varsity game (all three seniors). Jackson's kids played hard and were classy in the loss. Glad North's seniors went out on a huge win and snapped a streak of losing seasons. North was 7 points (and about 10 flags at letcher) from winning 7 or 8 games. Should be a bright future in the Jungle.

Turnovers decide all football games. Most important stat in the game. Tough loss for LC. Good win for Wburg. I didn't realize they were 4-0 as a senior class vs. Lynn Camp. How many seniors do they lose this year?

I know North Laurel graduated Seidel, but with what they have returning is anyone giving them any chance?

I predict a tought physical game with a ton of respect. Its on WYMT.

By far the most competitive. Anyone can beat anyone. All six teams are good.

He palyed for KBA this summer and was one of the top hitters on that team as well. I know he saw better pitching during the summer.

Way to go Jags! Last game of the season Jags had a 13 point loss to Knox Cental. I would think most people would think it was a big upset. Way to go Coach Conway!

Any of these teams could win the 13th Region. No dominate team or pitcher. The 13th is wide open.

I'll agree with you that it would have been a different story with pittman on the mound in the championship game. Pittman took the loss I believe against North earlier in the season.

You are correct it does say Battle Ground TN. on the KHSAA website, it is actually Battle Ground WA State. Who would have thought. Nice team and nice win for the Jags.

Another good outing for Jaguar pitchers. Ryan Sams threw 7 innings for the win and had 12 K's. Hensley for Cawood also threw 7 innings and looked very good on the mound. Cawood was up 4-3 in the top of the 5th when Chris Maggard hit a two run Homerun to take the lead. Good start to the 2006 season.

North Laurel beats Whitley Co. 5 - 1. The pitcher for North (Sean Evans) threw a complete game 7 innings. Excellent start for the Jags in the 13th Region. Evans threw well for North.

I know everyone wants to name the old 12 region teams. Lets not forget about the new teams: Rockcastle has been very competative in the 13th Region winning or competing for the 13 Region title for the past 4 or 5 years. Lets also not forget about East and West Jessamine who have been trying to get our of the 11th Region ( Lexington). Jody Hamilton coach of West Jessamine with a State Championship from Boyd Co. Could be a very interesting 12th Region.

I would like to see Somerset replace Shawn Thacker with a better coach or a better person. Just because they were upset in the District doesn't mean you fire the coach.
