Talk about traveling a distance to play baseball. From Washington state to Cocoa Beach Florida. What a road trip.

That is about as far as you could go. Actually when I first read the thread title I thought it was WV, and didn't look a second time and now that you point it out... that is quite a flight. Guessing they flew that is.

The parents I spoke with originally thought it was TN, but they told me that the team was actually from Washington State. I thought that sounded like an awfully long trip to me. Couldn't go much further to play HS baseball if that is the case.

This was a great trip for the Jaguars, they went 3-1, and beat some very good teams. Their only loss, to Ashland, was a 9 inning heartbreaker. The quality of teams at Cocoa is much better than what we've seen in the past at Ft.Walton. Hopefully this can propel them to another good season.

Last year, the Jags started their nice 15-2 run in Florida, so hopefully this will give them the confidence to have that kind of run this year as well.

I was told Brice Hicks has really been swinging the bat well. Good stuff for a kid who got DH'd for all last year.

You are correct it does say Battle Ground TN. on the KHSAA website, it is actually Battle Ground WA State. Who would have thought. Nice team and nice win for the Jags.
