Jaguartothebone Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Another good outing for Jaguar pitchers. Ryan Sams threw 7 innings for the win and had 12 K's. Hensley for Cawood also threw 7 innings and looked very good on the mound. Cawood was up 4-3 in the top of the 5th when Chris Maggard hit a two run Homerun to take the lead. Good start to the 2006 season.
MountainThunder Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 I mentioned Maggard yesterday and he comes thru in the clutch. Good kid. Coach McWhorter has to be happy with the start thusfar. He has gotten two full games from 2 different starting pitchers (Evans & Sams), both wins, key hitting, and the season is still early. It sure beats the 0-3 start they had last year and should help them build more confidence going into spring break. Are the Jags going back to FL over spring break?
