  1. Very good team. As long as they keep getting enough pitching to keep them in the game they will be hard to beat. A very good defensive team and have several guys that can really hit the ball.
  2. Somerset and Danville play Tuesday April 12 for the 12th Region Final. Should be a good game.
  3. I think your correct. I don't see any way Boyle will show back up to finish that game. If i was Casey's Coach I would call it in to the KHSAA as a 5-1 score in the 4th inning of a suspended game. At least that way it would show you played that much of the game.
  4. Who are the teams that should have a real shot at it this year?
  5. I thought Dixie would win this one. Good win for Beechwood.
  6. Lafayette beat Danville 3-1. Not much hitting, but both teams pitchers throw very well.
  7. Any scores from scimmages?
  8. I heard something a little different. I heard it was still his elbow that bothered him most of last season. Either way that could be a big problem for Mercer.
  9. If you go by the Pre-Season Coach's Poll it had West Jess. at 12, Mercer at 18, and Danville and Somerset with other receiving votes. Not sure if thats the way it will be at the end of the season.
  10. Two others that are very good are Mathew Hounchel and Collin Buckner from Mercer Co.
  11. I'll go with Andrew Lasure as the best in the region, but all four named are very good. I believe all four play together in the Summer with the Danville Mustangs.
  12. Danville plays Trinity on Monday and Bryan Station on Saturday. Both teams ranked pretty high.
  13. Just wondering when this comes out or if it already has?
  14. I think you are pretty close. Based on what people return from last year I rate the top ones as: Mercer Somerset Danville West Jess. And a bunch in the next group
  15. I can't believe it is already hear. It even feels like baseball out side. At least for a couple days anyway.
  16. I'll go with St. X. Hard to bet against three Div. 1 pitchers signed pitchers.
  17. How will Bishop Brossart be? Do they return alot from last season?
  18. He has done a very good job at Harrison. One of the best in the history of the State.
  19. Andrew Lasure finished tied for 10th place. Pretty good showing for all the talent that was present. Going by the results on the web-site it looks like he was the leader out of all the 2012 hitters.
  20. Brice Harper, 1st pick in this past years MLB draft won the Power Showcase HR Derby two years ago.
  21. This years power showcase is being held at Chase Field (home of the Arizona Diamondbacks) Dec. 28-30. The only KY player in the field of 70 is Andrew Lasure from Danville. The actual HR Derby part of the showcase is on Dec. 30, it is being shown live on the internet. For more information on the showcase or to view the HR derby go to http://www.power-showcase.com
  22. It seems the 12th Region Tournament is always at Lincoln or Pulaski? Any reason for this?
  23. I don't know much about OC. Do they throw or run the ball more?
  24. 1. Mercer Co. 2. Somerset 3. Danville 4. West Jess.
