12th Region Hitters

Featured Replies

The 12th region seems to have more than their share of good hitters this year. Andrew Lasure from Danville, John Saylor from Rockcastle and Taylor Sears from Somerset are 3 very solid batsmen. Who else would be on a short list of best hitters in the 12th region?

Kody Ross-junior-Boyle County. Kid can straight rake it.

I'll go with Andrew Lasure as the best in the region, but all four named are very good. I believe all four play together in the Summer with the Danville Mustangs.

Two others that are very good are Mathew Hounchel and Collin Buckner from Mercer Co.

I would certainly agree with Lasure and Saylor. I saw the Mustangs play several games last summer and those 2 can flat stroke the ball. In my opinion both of these boys are major college hitters who need to work some on their defensive skills.

Maybe a little bias, but Somerset has several players that can flat hit the baseball. Seniors- Taylor Sears, Erik Manning, JP Henderlight, Ben Purcell, Colby Hall, David VanHook, and Juniors- Jarred Price, Storm Wilson & Andy Manning. All nine of the guys can hit for power and average.
