Congrats to Frankfort, they have a very nice team, still not in the Beechwood class though. My favorite part of the game was the attempt at an onside kick with a 20+ lead classy!

When you run an offense that is very predictable a good D-coach will shut you down, it happened to Gallatin at Owen last year, and by the way, it was the same D-coach. Gallatins kids were going both ways last night also, it comes down to conditioning at the end of the game.

Great to hear about Cox. Our prayers are with him and his family. I did not see the same intensity we saw last year, more arm tackling, very bland predictable offense. Owen has some good talent to work with. Being a former Rebel from decades ago I would still like to see the program be successful, except for the second week of the season. From what I have seen and heard, IMO the program has taken yet another a step back. Until the admin. and parents get behind that program completly and bring in a top notch coach Owen well never be what it was in the late 70's early 80's. There are to many people with their own agenda's for it to take off. I played for Coach Roy Cochran, who ran every part of the program and made it a success. This is just my thoughts, you may see things differntly and thats ok, most important thing today is, Cox kid is going to be ok, amen.

I think it was 34-12 or some thing like that Gallatins first win in Middle school.

Great game, Gallatin offense finally started moving the ball in the second half. Owen is no where near the same team with new coaching staff. If any one has updates on Jordan Cox please keep us updated.

The game starts at 7:30 all Gallatins games except for Everts are Friday night 7:00. Everts will be Sat. afternoon game. Seems Carroll is getting all the love, is this due to new coach or what?

I dont know what game you saw, but there are several other options. Brown may be one of the top receivers in the area, and Davis and Henson are a very good combination at TE/SE.

May be starting gaurd from what I hear.

If this district has 2 of the top 10 teams, in some peoples opinion, we could very well have the toughest dist. in the state. I do agree they are both very good. Looking forward to seeing both in person.

Carlton is above average, very hard nose runner, good footwork. He was only soph. last year from what I am hearing this could be his big break out year as a jr.

Brown should be one of the top receivers in the district this year, some of the best hands I have ever seen.

I believe Carlton is 6'1" about 210 Florence about 5' 11" 185

So have they named a new coach yet after running everybody from last year off.

I think Scott Brown from Gallatin Co. is a real sleeper. He is around 5'11" good speed and great hands. He will be a senior in 07 in Gallatins 2nd season of varsity play.

Owen ever start interviewing anyone? Has anyone heard any names mentioned?

I think the biggest thing is the off season workouts and getting bigger and stronger. Since last year was first year of varsity they seemed to get pushed around at times. They do have a wealth of talent coming back, with the one big hole of JR Davis to fill on both the O & D lines.

Foster will be out 4 weeks not months, cast comes off Feb 9 and she'll try and finish out the season
