2007 Gallatin County

Featured Replies

What does Gallatin County need to do to improve in 2007? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

The Wildcats had an admirable first year varsity season, going 4-4. They have good numbers returning. According to their roster, they will lose 3 seniors, and have 10 juniors and 13 sophomores returing. As success carries over, their school is having a very successful year for boys basketball (again), so that is a positive. The new alignment puts them in a district with Frankfort (most people's pick for #1) and Trimble Co (most people's pick for #2), but the Wildcats have been known to suprise.

What kind of offense and defense do they run?

Defensively 5-3 man free. Offensively mutilpe sets. Pass 35% run 65%. QB throws good ball and Scotty Brown is a good WR. Carlton is a good RB. Very well coached.

I think the biggest thing is the off season workouts and getting bigger and stronger. Since last year was first year of varsity they seemed to get pushed around at times. They do have a wealth of talent coming back, with the one big hole of JR Davis to fill on both the O & D lines.

GC will be a surprise to those that take this team for granted. They have a very good core of young men coming up that will help fill some of the holes that were exposed last year. Losing JR Davis will be tough to fill but they are going to be fine.

Good luck to the Cats this season.:D

I saw them in a 4-3 and 4-4 quite often, even when they were getting beat in it, they stuck to it.

TE/WR David Henson is another good receiver they have and has prooven versatile in lining up as a blocker for Carlton and Maines in the backfield. He seems to run good routes, which helps get him open down field when he is ligned up as WR.

Defensively, LB Hunter LeGrand is the heart and soul. He led the team in tackles last season.

What happened to J.R.???

The Wildcats have about 20 more players going through spring practice now. Weight training has begun. Look for the Wildcats to be stronger and faster this next season.

What happened to J.R.???

Nevermind Losing it.:creepy:

How are things going during pre-season in Warsaw? Is anybody stepping up that wasn't expected? How about the transfer from Male? Curious to offense and defense they will be running this year. I would presume to be much the same as last year with same coaching staff in place.

Does any no anything about the Nunn kid? From what i remember he could play.
